LanternVault is a tabletop roleplaying game-master companion for generating and managing shops, treasure, NPCs, traps, reference information, and related campaign resources.
This Privacy Policy explains what information LanternVault processes, why it is processed, and how it is handled.
LanternVault does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, physical address, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone recordings, camera data, or similar personal information.
For users of the production version distributed through Google Play, LanternVault processes limited information required to verify and manage optional in-app purchases.
This may include:
Google Play purchase tokens
The Google Play product identifier associated with a purchase
Purchase and entitlement status
Purchase verification and entitlement synchronization timestamps
A randomly generated LanternVault installation identifier
The installation identifier is generated by LanternVault. It is not an advertising identifier, hardware serial number, IMEI, phone number, or Google account identifier.
The installation identifier may be transmitted to the LanternVault entitlement service when verifying purchases. The backend stores a cryptographic hash of the installation identifier rather than the original identifier.
LanternVault does not use this information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or marketing.
LanternVault offers optional permanent one-time purchases through Google Play.
When a purchase is made or restored, LanternVault may send the associated Google Play purchase token, product identifier, and installation identifier to a backend service operated for Si6 Labs, LLC.
The backend uses the Google Play Developer API to verify that the purchase is valid before granting or maintaining access to purchased features.
Purchase records may also be checked to:
Restore previously purchased features
Confirm current entitlement status
Detect refunded, canceled, revoked, or voided purchases
Prevent duplicate or fraudulent entitlement claims
Maintain access during temporary periods without an internet connection
Google Play may independently process payment, account, device, transaction, and purchase information according to Google's own privacy policies.
Si6 Labs, LLC does not receive or store your complete credit card number, bank account information, Google account password, or other full payment credentials.
LanternVault is designed so that its primary game-master functions and campaign data remain local to your device.
Generated and saved gameplay content is not transmitted to the LanternVault entitlement backend.
This includes, where applicable:
Generated shops and inventories
Generated treasure
Generated NPCs and shopkeepers
Generated traps
Party and character information entered into LanternVault
Saved campaign resources
Working-session data
Notes and preferences
Custom gameplay content
The entitlement backend is used for purchase verification and entitlement administration, not for collecting or analyzing your tabletop campaign activity.
Previously verified purchases may remain available offline for a limited period using locally cached entitlement information.
Si6 Labs, LLC uses Google services to provide LanternVault's purchase and entitlement infrastructure.
These services may include:
Google Play Billing
Google Play Developer APIs
Google Cloud Run
Google Cloud Firestore
Google Cloud Pub/Sub
Google Cloud Scheduler
These services process limited information as necessary to provide purchase verification, entitlement synchronization, refund and revocation handling, and related infrastructure.
Google's handling of information through its services is governed by Google's applicable privacy and service terms.
LanternVault does not include third-party advertising or advertising networks.
LanternVault does not currently use third-party behavioral analytics or user-tracking SDKs.
Purchase and entitlement information is not used to build advertising profiles or serve personalized advertising.
If these practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
Si6 Labs, LLC does not sell or rent LanternVault user information.
Limited purchase and entitlement information is processed through Google services as necessary to operate Google Play purchases and the LanternVault entitlement system.
Si6 Labs, LLC may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the security and integrity of LanternVault and its services.
Gameplay and campaign data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, clear LanternVault's application storage, or uninstall the application.
The LanternVault backend may retain purchase-token and entitlement records for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Verify and restore purchased features
Maintain entitlement history
Process refunds, cancellations, revocations, and voided purchases
Prevent duplicate or fraudulent purchase claims
Resolve purchase-support issues
Meet applicable legal or accounting requirements
The backend stores a cryptographic hash of the LanternVault installation identifier used for entitlement association.
Because LanternVault does not require a user account, there is no LanternVault account to delete.
Local LanternVault data can be removed by clearing the application's storage or uninstalling the application.

Some transaction information is maintained independently by Google Play and may need to be managed through your Google account or Google Play.
LanternVault uses encrypted HTTPS connections when communicating with the entitlement backend.
Access to backend purchase and entitlement records is restricted to the systems and service identities required to operate the entitlement service.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but Si6 Labs, LLC uses reasonable technical safeguards appropriate to the limited information processed by LanternVault.
LanternVault is not designed to collect personal information from children.
LanternVault does not require users to provide identifying personal information to use its game-master features.
If Si6 Labs, LLC becomes aware that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner that requires deletion under applicable law, appropriate steps will be taken to remove that information.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to LanternVault, its purchase infrastructure, legal requirements, or Google Play requirements.
When the policy is materially updated, the revised version will be published at the same privacy-policy location with a new effective date.
