Shuan-Wen Lin

I am Shuan-Wen Lin (林宣文) from Taipei, Taiwan. Here is my CV. You can contact me at slin27@uh.edu.

I am a job market candidate from the University of Houston and expect to graduate by June 2024. I am seeking a position in academic institutions (research and/or teaching) and industry.

My research interest is applied microeconomics, specifically labor economics, health economics, education economics, and political economics.

In my job market paper, I use a large-scale administrative dataset to examine how superstition affects people's healthcare utilization. My previous works include a paper on the cross-country comparison of the gender wage gaps and another paper on how a firm's political connection could affect its stock price.

I received my master's degree in economics and my bachelor's degree in finance from National Taiwan University.
