Meet Tarah Jay Rayas. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1984, Tarah Jay Rayas was practically raised inside the wrestling business. The daughter of Spanish wrestler “La Nova Cubana” Ramon Rayas, Tarah spent her childhood traveling the road alongside her father and uncle, “La Loco Blanco” Jesus Rayas, before settling in Detroit under the guidance of legendary trainer Madam Vega. There, she honed her craft at Madam Vega’s Wrestling School for Girls, laying the foundation for what would become a decades-long career built on grit, violence, and reinvention.

From Puerto Rican indie circuits to internationally recognized promotions across the globe, Tarah { under the name TARAH NOVA } carved out a reputation as a fearless competitor, championship collector, hardcore specialist, and resilient single mother raising her son, Oliver Lee Rayas { who now wrestles under the name OTTO NOVA }, on the road beside her. Across companies like OWA, EAW, WWA, LAW, JET, SSW and beyond, Nova became a respected veteran of the wrestling world.

Outside the ring, Tarah is the visionary force behind SLAUGHTERHOUSE WRESTLING (SHW); an unapologetically horror-drenched, angle-driven deathmatch promotion she launched in 2020. Known within SHW as THE WARDEN OF SLAUGHTER, Tarah built the company on the belief that deathmatch wrestling is more than brutality... it’s storytelling, theatre, and war. Under her command, SHW has become a sanctuary for wrestling’s monsters, misfits, and madmen.

A wrestler, promoter, mother, entrepreneur, and architect of chaos, Tarah Nova enters her final active years still doing what she’s always done best: surviving the madness… and creating it.
