It's 9am on a Saturday, "why did I agree to go to this mall thing?" Shaun thinks to himself while getting out of the bed, brushing his teeth, putting on a casual outfit, and then have some cereals before heading out to the mall.

Shaun arrived at the parking lot of the mall, "9:58 am, looks like I am on time." Shaun says to himself while checking his phone, "Alright, I better head out and stand in front of the mall so that Alison knows I am here."
"Now what...," Shaun scratches his head while aimlessly looking for the appearance of Alison, "what the hell am I doing here... I am such an idio..."
"Hey Shaun!" A cheerful voice finally reached to Shaun's eardrum, Shaun turns around then goes, "Oh hey Alison, sup."
"I am glad you made it! I was afraid that you might stood me up haha." Alison giggles and continues, "You like my outfit today?"
Shaun quickly skim through Alison from head to toe then replies, "uh... it's pretty nice."
"Pretty nice?! Boy... that's not how you compliment a lady! Forget it, let's go into the mall, it's getting quite hot out here."
"Okay."
......
After wondering around in the mall for quite a while, Shaun and Alison starting to get a lil tired, so they found themselves a burger place inside the mall and seated while waiting for their food order.
Shaun: "Are you going to buy anything?"
Alison: "Not really..."
Shaun: "Not really?! Then why did you drag me to the mall with you lol." Looking confused.
Alison puffs her cheeks, looking gloomy.
Alison: "Hey Shaun, have you ever dated before?"
Shaun: "Uh, no!? why?"
Alison: "Just curious. So you a virgin?"
Shaun: "AYO! Chill..." Shaun starts to feel a lil anxious.
Alison: "Hahahah, am just teasing ya! Relax."
Order 158? A waiter looking person is here.
Shaun: "Yes!"
Here are your burgers, fries, and two sprites.
Shaun and Alison simultaneously: "Thank you."
My pleasure. Enjoy! Then the waiter leaves.
Alison: "You know, this is our last semester of high school, so I just wanted to try something new."
Shaun: "What you do you mean something new?"
Alison: "Like asking my crush to go on a date with me."
Geez, I don't even know her...
Shaun: "What? me?? Why???"

Protagonist name Shaun Ichikawa
Ordinary family of three, mom died of cancer when Shaun was at the age of 11, dad became a single parent and never remarried.
Shaun grew up normally until near the end of his 6th grade when his mom passed way. He was a cool and outgoing kid, however, his mom's death took a toll on him. Therefore, he started to distant himself away from everyone including his close friends because he felt a sense of "maturity" that none of the kids at his age could understand.
Time flew by as Shaun finishes middle school years and high school years. Now he is about to enter his last year at high school as a senior not knowing the direction that he wants to take for his future, and certainly no idea of what he wants to do with life.

Karreyond - Chapter 1 the loner

Ahhh... I hate school. It's full of cringe people and wannabes that I am tired of seeing. Well, this is the final year of high school that I have to go through, not that I am excited for new classmates or except anything good to happen in particular, I just want to get it over with and be done already. For the most part, that is.
"Hey Shaun! Long time no see, what did you do over the summer break?"
I turn around and look for where that sound comes from. Oh, it's Josh who was speaking, not that I know him or anything, it's just that sometimes he would ask me for my homework to copy before the last minute to turn it in in class. I don't hate him in particular, but I also don't like him.
"Nothing." I replied. Then the non-sense conversation went on for a bit before class starts. I wish I could have said "don't talk to me" from the very beginning so that I don't have to do all of that small talk. But that would be a little too harsh since I don't have anything against him.
First day of class went by fairly quickly, and it's already lunch period. I got what I usually get because it's easy, which is Pizza from the cafeteria, though sometimes I would switch it up and get things like subway and/or bring my own lunch (mainly snacks like protein bars and bread whenever I have them).
"It's crowded as hell..." I say to myself. This is one of the reason why I hate school, people race down the hall to buy out the food and occupy the tables. There are some tables outside as well but they are usually reserved for the popular kids and seniors. Normally I would just find an empty table and sit alone by myself, but since I am a senior now, I guess I can give it a try and look for a table outside.
As expected, most tables outside here are occupied already. "I guess I would go to my secret spot (aka the toilet) to eat my pizza." Pfff hha, who am I kidding, this isn't the anime. Good thing that there are some shade spots, I am just gonna stand under the shapes and finish my pizza asap and then dip. Cringe I know, but I have no other choices left at this point.
"Shaun?"
"Huh!?" As I traced down that voice, a girl with a nose and two eyes is looking at me. Her face seems somewhat familiar, but I can't remember who she is, at least not this moment right out of my head.
"Do you want to come sit down over here?" She points at the empty chair next to her.
"No, thank you." I awkwardly wave my right hand a little as I speak while trying to maintain a decent cold face.
"Oh come on, don't you get tired of standing there while eating?" She replies back and begin to stand up and approach towards me.
I begin to try my hardest I can to remember the name of this girl because it would be bad if she finds out that I forgot her name while she clearly knows me.
She quickly snatch away my pizza while I am zoning out and digging through my memories for the name of her, and then she puts down the pizza on the table and shouts "come on Shaun~~ your food is getting cold!"
Okay okay... I waited a second or two to accept my defeat and then gradually walk my way towards the table and settle myself down.
"Thank you, ... Allison". I said as I finally remember her name and begin to eat away my pizza.
Karreyond - Chapter 2 different cycle

The first day of school comes to an end. Nothing interesting has happened throughout the first day except that encounter with Allison during lunch period. Shaun had some small talks with mainly Allison on the lunch table despite the fact that Allison introduces her other friends who were also eating at the same table with them. In the end, they exchanged contact information (phone number) because Allison said "we should hang out more", whatever that means. "I guess she is a nice person," Shaun say to himself while taking a shower, "However, I am not gonna go to the outside of the cafeteria ever again! Jesus that was embarrassing. Standing understand the shade while eating a pizza? What kind of attention was I trying to drawn out of people lol." After finishing shower, Shaun return to his natural habit of being an internet junkie.
"Bam", a door closing sound came from the living room while Shaun is sitting in the front of his computer. "Dad is home..." Shaun thought to himself while continue staring at his screen. A moment has passed... "HAVE YOU EATEN?" Shaun's dad, Ray calls out with a loud tone. "Yeeees." Shaun responded from his bedroom. The conversation ends here. Ever since Shaun's mom died, the relationship between Shaun and Ray slowly worsen. With a few conflicts here and there as time progress, these two (father and son) barely talk to each other anymore, only the minimal exchange of greeting and conversation when time permits.
Going to school on the weekdays, indulge myself in anime, books, and video games over the weekend, and then being at the "home" that I don't feel a sense of warmth or belonging anymore. A cycle of hollow of joy and vicious self-hatred, hhem... "How I wish I can change all of these... but how?" Shaun thought to himself in the bed, and fallen asleep a minute after.
The next day, while on the way to class, someone suddenly calls out to Shaun since there is no one left on the hallway as classes already started. "Excuse me, do you know where room 301 is?" A gentle voice with a slight timid tone delivers to Shaun's ears, Shaun look over his right shoulder and spotted a girl who seems to be looking for her class. "Room 301?" Shaun replies to her, "That is in the English hallway, in fact I am on my way over there since I have that class too. You can follow me if you want."
"Okay, thank you!" The girl replies back, and soon after begin to follow the footsteps of Shaun's. As they walk together towards the classroom, no one speaks a single word, only the sound of footsteps can be hear (aka awkward silence).
"Clank"... As the sound of the creaking door opens, Shaun walks into the classroom while light tab the door behind him for a second so that the girl behind him has enough room to enter as well. Almost everyone (including the teacher) tilts their head and look towards the two people who enter the classroom late for a second or two before returning back to whatever they were doing. Without making a single eye contact, Shaun quickly look for his seat at the back of the class by the window and gradually walks towards there and sitting down.
"I am sorry! I just transferred to this school and today is my first day of class and I don't know where the classes are." The girl speaks to the teacher with a timid attitude. "It's okay, go ahead and find a seat and we will continue with the class." The teacher says composedly. Then the girl quickly glances through the room and targeted herself with an empty seat, that is, behind that guy who just led her to the classroom.
The class then resumes without much of interruption. Near the last five minutes of class, the teacher sums up the lectures for the day, and dismiss everyone to let them do whatever they want. Afterwards, everyone starts to chit chat waiting for the bells to ring.
"A... ano" (aka umm), the new transfer girl who sits behind Shaun initiates.
"Hmm?" Shaun turns around, "yes?"
"Thank you earlier for helping me to get to the classroom," the new transfer girl says with a slightly nervous tone.
"Oh, no problem!" Shaun replies.
After a moment, the girl continues, "my name is Cecilia, nice to meet you!"
A bit clumsily, Shaun says, "I am Shaun, nice to meet you as well."
Karreyond - Chapter 3 cafeteria

The morning classes pass in a blink of an eye... It’s lunch time again. After getting himself a sandwich from the cafeteria, Shawn found himself an empty table and begin to eat his white break with chicken breast and some veggies sandwich.

“Heyy there you are!” A familiar voice shouts, light slams the table in front of Shaun, and staring down Shaun from a superior high point of view.
“Oh what’s up Allison?” Shaun looks up and say.
“I was just wondering where u are. Do you not like my friends from yesterday?” Allison speaks.
“Ugh Of course not. I.. I just to like to eat by myself.” Shaun replies back while trying to avoid locking contacts with Allion.
“You have social anxiety?” Emily asks.
“WHAT? NO! DID I STURR? Jez leave me alone already.” Shaun says with a clear frustration on his face.
“Alrightttt chill Shaun, I was just kidding. You are quite tense!” Allison answers with a laughing tone.
“Actually I have a favor to ask you.” Allison continues.
“A favor? What is it?” Shawn tilts his head and wonders.
“I need a company this Saturday to go to the mall, all my other friends are busy this weekend, so you down?” Allison inquires and looking into Shaun’s eyes.
“Eeeeh why me?” Shawn answers back.
“Come on quit being a nag already. We are friends, aren’t we?” Allison replies impatiently.
“..... Sure sure.” Shaun answers resignedly.
“Great! I’ll text you the time and address on Saturday. You better arrive on time.” Allison says with a big smile on her face.
“Ding-tin...” The bell rings shortly after Shaun agrees to the favor that Allison have asked him. The afternoon classes pass by without noticing. Fast forward… Shaun gets home, hop on his computer and finish the daily quest of the MMORPG game that he’s been playing. Eat, shower, and sleep. The usual weekday routine continues on to Friday day.
Hueee… it’s finally the weekend. The first week of schools feels like foreverrrr. “Time to binge some anime, grinding mmorpg, and maybe binge anime? Hehe…” Shaun thought to himself.
“Bling, bling…” A quick notification interrupts Shaun’s gaming, Shaun checks his phone, “10:00 am tomorrow at 3340 Imayo Street in front of Central Mall. See you tomorrow!” a message comes from Allison. “Oh crap I almost forgot about that since I haven’t seen her around at school ever since she asked me to do her a favor.” Shaun says to himself. Soon after finish playing the game, Shaun got himself into the shower and decide to sleep a while later so that he can wake up tomorrow to go to this mall that Allison told him.
