She graduated from O.M. Gorky Kharkiv State University (now V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University) in 1988.

She has been working at the Institute of Therapy since 1990 as a junior researcher, currently a researcher at the laboratory of immuno-biochemical and molecular genetic research.

Inna Shut determines the content of a wide range of biologically active compounds in serum and blood plasma by the method of immunoenzymatic assay, in particular adiponectin, insulin, interleukins, thyroid hormones, thyroid-stimulating hormone, tumor necrosis factor-α, vasculoendothelial growth factor, cytokeratin-18, endotoxin, prolactin , cortisol, angiotensin 1-7, C-reactive protein, hydroxy-8-deoxy-guanosine, etc.

She introduced into the practice of the laboratory the method of morphological identification of circulating endothelial cells and counting their number. She also isolates nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) from various clinical material (whole blood, gingival epithelium, mononuclear cells, feces) for further molecular genetic studies. Currently, she participates in the performance of laboratory fragments of two Scientific Research works of institute.
