If you want closed-back headphones with a lightweight, adjustable headband and sound-isolating over-ear design for webinars, choose Shure SRH1540; if you need distinctive wooden earcups, a detachable cable, and a rigid aluminum frame, choose SIVGA Peng Closed-Back Wooden. Both are wired, over-ear headphones, so neither is a Bluetooth headset or a wireless webinar solution. The key difference is whether you value Shure’s comfort and isolation features or SIVGA’s wood-and-metal construction and cable flexibility.
• Shure SRH1540: 40 mm neodymium drivers, a lightweight adjustable padded headband, and a closed-back design that reduces background noise; the trade-off is a wired connection and no listed detachable cable.
• SIVGA Peng Closed-Back Wooden: African zebrawood earcups, a CNC-machined aluminum frame, and a detachable cable; the trade-off is a 340-ohm impedance and no listed noise-control feature.
• Shure is for: listeners who want closed-back, over-ear headphones with a comfort-focused headband and sound isolation for long calls or focused listening.
• SIVGA is for: listeners who prioritize wooden construction, a rotating-earcup design, and the ability to detach the cable.
The Shure SRH1540 is a wired, closed-back over-ear headphone built around 40 mm neodymium dynamic drivers. Shure describes its sound as having clear, extended highs and warm bass, with an expansive soundstage. For a webinar listener, the most immediately relevant design detail is the closed-back, circumaural fit: the cups go around the ears, and the design is intended to reduce background noise. That can make it a sensible choice for listening to a presenter while nearby activity competes for attention.
Comfort and adjustment are central to its design. The dual-frame headband is padded, lightweight, and fully adjustable, while the listed construction includes an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy yoke and a carbon fiber cap. Those details make the SRH1540 worth considering for people who wear headphones through lengthy meetings or move between desk setups and listening sessions. It connects by wire through a 3.5 mm jack, and its listed frequency range is 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
It also includes a storage case, an additional cable, and replacement ear pads, giving the package practical accessories for keeping the headphones together and maintaining them over time. Who should skip it: skip the SRH1540 if you specifically need Bluetooth, a foldable neckband, or a listed detachable cable. It is also not an option for someone shopping for sweat resistant earbuds for webinars; it is a wired over-ear headphone, not an earbud.

SIVGA Peng Closed-Back Wooden: Who It's For
The SIVGA Peng takes a more material-led approach. Its over-ear cups are made from African zebrawood, paired with a CNC-machined aluminum frame. SIVGA describes the frame as forming a lightweight, rigid acoustic chamber, and its design also includes a copper-ring stabilization system integrated into the diaphragm. For someone who wants headphones that look and feel different from a conventional all-plastic design, those are concrete points of distinction. The listed frequency range is 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, and the driver type is dynamic.
The Peng is wired through a 3.5 mm jack and comes with a detachable 6N OCC cable. A detachable cable can be convenient when packing the headphones or when separating the cable from the earcups for storage. Its earcups rotate 180 degrees, the headband adjusts up and down, and angled earpads are designed to provide an ergonomic fit and seal. The included accessories list covers adapters, a cable, a hemp bag, and a protective case.
There is an important practical specification to weigh: the Peng has a listed impedance of 340 ohms and sensitivity of 102 dB. Those figures are worth checking against the audio output you plan to use, especially if you expect to connect the headphones directly to a laptop or other source. The product sheet does not list a noise-control feature, even though the headphone has a closed-back chamber. Who should skip it: skip the Peng if you need Bluetooth, a microphone or call controls listed in the specifications, or a headphone with an explicit noise-control feature.
• Best fit for reducing background noise by design → Shure SRH1540. Its closed-back, circumaural design is specifically described as reducing background noise. The Peng is also closed-back, but its listed noise control is “None,” so I would not assume the same isolation emphasis.
• Best for long listening sessions with an adjustable padded headband → Shure SRH1540. Shure calls out its lightweight, padded, fully adjustable dual-frame headband. That gives a webinar listener a clear comfort-related reason to consider it for extended calls.
• Best for wooden earcups and a metal frame → SIVGA Peng Closed-Back Wooden. African zebrawood cups and a CNC-machined aluminum frame set it apart if construction and material character matter to you.
• Best for a detachable cable → SIVGA Peng. The cable is explicitly described as detachable. The Shure includes an additional cable, but its listed features do not say that its cable detaches.
• Best for a listed replacement-ear-pad option → Shure SRH1540. Replacement ear pads are included in its product details, alongside a storage case and an additional cable.
• Best for rotating earcups → SIVGA Peng. Its cups rotate 180 degrees, and its headband adjusts up and down for fit.
• Best for a webinar setup that needs wireless freedom → Neither. Both models are wired and have a 3.5 mm jack. Neither product sheet lists Bluetooth, a built-in microphone, or wireless call controls, so these are not direct answers to searches for the best bluetooth headset for webinars.
• Best for someone who wants a foldable neckband or workout earbuds → Neither. These are over-ear headphones, not neckband headphones or earbuds. Their stated features do not make them substitutes for the best foldable neckband headphones for webinars or sweat resistant earbuds for webinars.
For webinars, the choice is less about a listed microphone feature—neither sheet provides one—and more about how you want to listen. The Shure’s sound-isolating design and comfort-oriented headband give it a clearer use-case for focused desk listening. The SIVGA brings more distinctive materials, a detachable cable, and rotating cups, but its listed 340-ohm impedance deserves attention when choosing an audio source.
Start with your connection needs. Both headphones use a wired 3.5 mm jack, so neither is a fit if your priority is wireless movement during a meeting. The supplied information also does not list a microphone or call-control buttons for either model. If those are essential for webinars, check the complete product details and your computer or audio setup before choosing.
Next, consider fit and isolation. Shure explicitly identifies its closed-back, over-ear construction as reducing background noise and describes a padded, adjustable headband for hours of listening comfort. The SIVGA is also closed-back, with angled pads intended to help create a seal, but its listed noise-control field says “None.” That distinction matters in a shared room: the Shure provides the more explicit isolation claim, while the Peng’s fit and chamber design should not be treated as a stated noise-cancellation or noise-control feature.
Finally, check how each headphone fits your listening equipment and maintenance preferences. The Peng’s 340-ohm impedance makes source compatibility a worthwhile question; its detachable cable and included adapters may be useful in a wired setup. The Shure’s 46-ohm impedance is substantially lower, and it comes with an additional cable and replacement ear pads. Both include a carrying or protective option in their listed accessories. If price is part of your decision, check the current price on Amazon using the page’s button rather than relying on an outdated figure.
In my opinion, I would choose the Shure SRH1540 for webinars because its closed-back design is specifically described as reducing background noise, and its lightweight padded headband is made for extended listening. It is still wired, and the listed details do not establish that it has a microphone, so it is not a complete wireless call headset. I would choose the SIVGA Peng instead if wooden earcups, a detachable cable, and rotating cups matter more to me than an explicit noise-control feature. For focused listening during webinars, my pick is the Shure.
