Our fire forensics research was funded.
Dr. Shuna Ni and Dr. Thomas Gernay present their research outcomes at the NFPA Annual Conference about their NFPA research foundation project. The goal of this project is to recommend an updated calculation model for the fire protection part of building construction expenditure as used in the Total Cost of Fire study that is more holistic and includes the impact of fire protection on property loss. This project is a collaborative effort between research teams at three institutions (Ghent University, Johns Hopkins University and Utah State University).
