3D Printing
INTRODUCTION
3D printing is new technology in Malaysia and still not have a widely usage of it. 3D printing can be used in many field such as medical , industrial , education and more. There are very little usage of it in Malaysia where we can see. 3D printing is the future which there are country that already trying to print sample tissue of organs.
Firstly , I as a beginner , I use Tinkercad which is web-based 3D modelling to design a 3D print model. Tinkercad are web-based software that are suitable for anyone who has no knowledge in 3D designing. Tinkercad also provided a simple tutorial to use inside the software in order to make the user easier understanding the features of the software. Unfortunately , the software are not as the same level to autocad or fusion360. If you are a new to 3D designing , i suggest to use Tinkercad first in order to understanding the process of designing 3D model.
Next , I use Ultimaker Cura software to prepare the 3D model before we can print it. Ultimaker Cura are purposely to see how the product will be printed and will be placed inside the machine. This software also controlling how we would like to make them such as finest , inside the 3D modelling (INFILL) and how many percentage that we would like to fill the model. Ultimaker Cura also help us in selecting which printer machine we using such as Ultimaker 2 Extended+ or Ultimaker 3 or many more because of there are many type of 3D printer machine.
After finishing all of the process , we can export the file which is in .STL in order to works in the printer machine.
