Research Statement

Md. Arif Mahmud Shuklo Shoshe is currently working under Prof. Dr. Ofodike A. Ezekoye as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Walker Department of Mechanical at the University of Texas at Austin. 

MAMS Shoshe has worked under Prof. Dr. Md. Ashiqur Rahman, Department of ME, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, along with Dr. Rahman's team on the spread and propagation of fire in different types of informal architectures in Bangladesh under various scenarios. The group emphasizes the possible improvement in confining the fire-generated heat and smoke with commonly available technology and feasible design modifications. MAMS Shoshe has also worked with a group of talented undergraduate students from the Department of MPE, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, on a range of topics including passive drag reduction techniques, bio-inspired flow control, and supervised machine learning.
