Dr. Shubham Sundeep is an Assistant Professor of Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, and Drives in the Electrical Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He received his M.Tech. degree from IIT Delhi in 2017 and his Ph.D. from University of Sheffield in 2022.

Prior to joining IIT Delhi, he served as an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, USA, where he contributed to gravity energy storage systems. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Engineer at Eaton Corporation on synchronous drive control systems. His doctoral research focused on understanding the impact of wide-bandgap semiconductor devices on electric drives.

Dr. Sundeep’s research lies at the intersection of electrical machines and power electronics, with emphasis on high-frequency modeling, electric drive reliability, condition monitoring and diagnostics, EMI/EMC, traction motor design, control of electric drives, and mechanical energy storage systems. His work integrates analytical modeling with experimental validation to develop practical, industry-relevant solutions for next-generation energy and transportation technologies. He is a recipient of several presentation awards, including the IEEE IAS Industrial Drives Committee 2nd Prize Paper Award (2021).
