Shubham Maheshwari

Hi, I'm Shubham. I recently graduated with a Physics PhD from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. My research focused on (formal and cosmological) aspects of higher derivative, non-local gravity. I am also interested in aspects of the modern amplitudes program, particularly color-kinematics duality.

I also like using Python and powerful Mathematica packages like xAct in physics. I enjoy solving complex problems through a mathematical and algorithmic approach.

Brief Bio

2017 - 2021: Physics PhD student at the University of Groningen (RUG), The Netherlands

2015 - 2016: Master's thesis at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India

2011 - 2016: Master's in Physics + Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani - Goa, India

In addition to theoretical physics, I enjoy solving programming puzzles, preferably in Python. I like cooking, quizzing and reading about history, geography and psychology, and have also dabbled in learning a new language. Listening to many different genres of music, particularly lesser-known artists, has been an interest of mine for a few years now. I'm always up for a long walk in nature, several laps in the swimming pool or a couple of games on the badminton court.
