Hi! Welcome to the little corner on the web where you can quickly explore and get to know more about Shubhadip.
Recently, Shubhadip moved to rainy Southampton to pursue the Royal Academy of Engineering-funded PhD sponsored by Globus Metal Powders Ltd. in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southampton, UK, with a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship since 2024. He is cooking up unraveling the secrets of materials to have more fun in alloy design!
Prior to his doctoral research, he was in classy bombay, where he worked as a project research assistant at IIT Bombay sponsored by Pratt &Whitney and Airbus.
Growing up in West Bengal, Shubhadip started his academic journey in the beautiful campus of National Institute of Technology Durgapur, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2023 and was supervised jointly by Prof. Manas Kumar Mondal, NIT Durgapur and Prof. M.P. Gururajan, IIT Bombay for bachelor's thesis.
In 2022, Shubhadip worked as a research intern at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS) in Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany.
Shubhadip's work is highly stimulating and carries significant real-world impact, given its potential to revolutionize the design and development of new materials and technologies.
When Shubhadip don't </>, he loves to get off the grid and go on treks.
