How we started:

The SHS Colosseum was started in the year 2016 by a group of Somerset students who were in the entrepreneurship class at Somerset High School. With the help of funding from First National Community Bank, they were able to create a store for the school.

Who takes the class:

Students in their junior and senior year of Somerset High School are able to take the Entrepreneurship/School Store course. This course is connected to the course at WITC and students are able to earn college credit for taking it.

What we do with the profits:

Profits made from the school store at the end of the school year will be divided up into scholarships. We also use our profits to help the community and donate to various fundraisers throughout the years. We are self funded at this point, and we grow with the business. The more we sell the more opportunities we have to expand.

About our products:

Many of our products are made and designed by students in the class. We stock a variety of brands including: Bella + Canvas, Adidas, Gildan, Champion, Independent Trading Co., and others.
