The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is the heart of the school as far as studies are concerned. This area helps in actualizing the pedagogical objectives of the school through the resources of various formats and services.
The LRC has two major components namely: LIBRARIES (Kindergarten Satellite Library, Elementary Library and High School Library) where all the print materials are kept; INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA CENTER or IMC where all the non-print materials are placed.

Sacred Heart School - Hijas de Jesus Learning Resource Center envisions to produce a generation of pupils/students who are information/media literate; can recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, organize, synthesize, evaluate and use effectively the needed information.

Mission
The overall purpose of the Learning Resource Center is to serve the entire educative community of the institution by offering resources, services, and facilities necessary to support and enhance the school's informational, educational, curricular and recreational needs and interests of the pupils/students. Furthermore, the LRC provides opportunities that promote reading and literary appreciation and teaches information literacy skills that promote access to intellectual sources and foster critical thinking and independent learning.

The Sacred Heart School - Hijas de Jesus LRC shall strive to work for the following goals:
to select, acquire, preserve and administer books and related educational, informational, cultural and recreational materials;
to promote the love for books and reading;
to organize and provide access to materials in a variety of formats;
to serve the school as a center of reliable information;
to provide instruction designed to promote independent information retrieval by LRC users
to encourage more effective and greater use of the LRC materials;
to evaluate services, holdings, policies, and procedures to effectively meet the demands of the times; and
to encourage the use of information centers as sources of lifelong learning.
Services
Services
Selection and acquisition of LRC materials
Each year, LRC personnel participate in book fairs. They select and acquire materials that will be added to the collection.
Technical services
The LRC staff catalog and organize materials before they are made available in the shelves. Books are accessioned, assigned with call numbers and color codes and covered with plastic. Equipment and other audiovisual materials are recorded and assigned with serial numbers.
Readers' services
Librarians provide time for bibliographic consultations and assist pupils and students in their research and use of different reference materials.
LRC orientation
This is given at the beginning of the school year before a pupil/student can avail of the other services. Rules and regulations, services and personnel of the library are discussed during the LRC orientation.
LRC instruction
Librarians teach library skills to pupils and students during their library periods.
Information dissemination
Bulletin boards are available for display of announcements, lists of newly acquired materials and other important announcements in the LRC. Updates are given through verbal announcements during meetings and class encounters.
Indexing service
Useful information from newspapers and magazines are indexed by the librarians for easy access when the information is needed.
Stock service
Materials that are not being used at present but may be useful in the future are placed in the stock room.
Documentation service
Important activities of the school are taken photos by the IMC personnel.
Photocopy service
A pupil/student may photocopy a material at the Media Center.
Internet service
Computer stations with Internet access are provided for teachers' use in the Instructional Media Center and Elementary Library.
