Joshua Lindberg is a 2009 Southridge High School Graduate. He earned a Doctorate of Education (Ed. D.) from Concordia University Chicago in 2021, speciating in Educational Leadership. He also has a Master of Music degree in Conducting from Eastern Washington University under Dr. Don Goodwin. He also completed all requirements for the designation: National Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM), through Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Before that he graduated, with honors, with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Eastern Washington University. While attending EWU, Lindberg's major teachers include: Dr. Jody Graves, piano; and Dr. Don Goodwin, conducting. His previous teachers include Patti Robertson, Patrick Winters, and Steve Haberman.
As a classical pianist, Dr. Lindberg has competed in and won several music competitions. His favorite was when he was awarded the Gold Medal for his performance of the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 in the collegiate concerto division of the MusicFest Northwest Festival in 2011.
He has been the rehearsal and performance pianist for the Spokane Civic Theater, Mid-Columbia Musical Theater, and Columbia Basin College Summer Showcase.
Additionally, Dr. Lindberg played clarinet in the EWU Wind Ensemble, jazz piano in the Repertory Jazz Ensemble, sang Tenor in the Symphonic Choir, and served as the Drum Major of the Eagle Marching Band. He was Co-President of the EWU Collegiate MTNA Chapter (2013-2014).
