Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Miami working on exploring age-related changes in spatial and temporal resting fMRI features. I intend to extend my research by using these findings to help discern how developmental changes in Autism differ from typically developing people. When not hacking away at research problems, I chipping away at philosophical questions. What makes us strive to do better in life? What can we define as better? What does my existence contribute to someone else's life? These questions also drive my aims in life.

In the big picture, I want to contribute to make life for students with learning disorders easier. I want to help identify how to address learning disabilities and improve cognitive abilities in students in India. I come from a country where learning disorders are often overlooked even in this age of technological development. The approach of the Indian education system to addressing issues of students with learning disorders is very lackadaisical. While these students are clearly classified as "not smart" and "not disabled", teachers are not equipped with teaching aids or the knowledge of these issues. Through my research, I want to help bring about a systematic change in the education system. Of course this ambitious! But have you heard of the butterfly effect?

Read on to see what I do that can eventually help achieve this.
