Pugh chart
Pugh Chart, also known as a decision matrix or selection matrix, is a tool used to compare and evaluate multiple design alternatives against specific criteria. It helps in systematic decision-making by scoring each option relative to a baseline or reference design. Each criterion is assigned a weight based on its importance, and alternatives are rated as better (+), worse (-), or the same (0) compared to the baseline. The total scores are calculated to identify the best option. Pugh Charts are widely used in engineering and project management to ensure objective and structured selection of the most suitable solution.
