Shrinivas Chimmalgi

I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic graduate in systems and control engineering with an aptitude for working in a team. I am currently working as a scientific researcher in the group of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Laurent Schmalen at Communications Engineering Lab, KIT.

Short background: I received a B.Tech. degree in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India, in 2015. I moved to the Netherlands in 2015 to pursue M.Sc. in systems and control from the TU Delft which I graduated from in 2017. From September 2017 to August 2021 I worked towards a PhD with Dr.-Ing. Sander Wahls at the Delft Center for Systems & Control, TU Delft. I focused on numerical algorithms for nonlinear Fourier transforms with applications in fiber-optic communications.
