Why Shrek, Why Now? 

The first thing you think when you hear about Shrek is the tons of memes or a green creature screaming “DONKEY!!!!” Believe it or not, Shrek the Musical has many messages in this hilarious musical. Let’s start with the main moral of the story is to not judge others solely by appearances, everyone has something special about themselves and to share with others and to accept and include them as they are. Other messages include the importance of camaraderie: whether you like it or not everyone deserves a friend who can come to you in many out-of-the-blue ways! The real thing to keep in mind with the state of our current climate is a musical of inclusion, self-acceptance discovering inner beauty within an isolated world.
