Mobile Social Networks

Social-relationship among mobile IoT devices (IoD) is a critical parameter used to reduce the data transmission delay and queue size at the network edge.  Social relationship index factor can be used to cluster the IoDs and then create an efficient radio map of the network.

UAV-Aided Communication

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can prolong the network lifetime with improved quality-of-service (QoS) at the sensor nodes (SN). By computing optimum number and locations of UAV required for the beamforming towards the SN, efficient collaborative beamforming is performed.

Intelligent Surfaces

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) with active reflecting elements (REs) draws great attention due to its ability to improve the performance of the Internet of Things (IoT) networks. The proposed RIS-assisted routing protocol enables the standards and semantics of how the signal will propagate throughout the network resulting in reduced data latency.

Beamforming

Beamforming is a technique to control the radiation sprawl. With the help of planer 2D antenna array mounted at the UAV, user specific 3D beams can also be formed to provide the high data-rate to the end user. During 3D beamforming, an adjustment in elevation angle direction, extensively reduces the interference phenomenon at the CEUs. UAV node is designed to be able to perform 3D beamforming leading to improved signal to interference noise ratio (SINR) and high throughput.
