Yes but I also want to see them, they are hidden in one folder and you must first expand it. The default is the velocity. And you can add another line when right clikcing on velocity tab and make for example a CC11 tab for Expression. Doing this for hundreds of tracks takes a long time and I look for an option to automatically create a line when entering midi information.

But it depends on if the midi resolution is set to a number divisible by the non quantize value. It seemed to round when I set midi resolution it to a number like 145, but at 240 it worked as expected.

There's a lot PreSonus could learn from how pro users actually use software like Live or MainStage to do live processing and control. Lighting and external device control is no small part of how people use Live to orchestrate their shows, and a lot of the same features, not to mention configurability, are what make MainStage such a powerful system for computer-based instrumentation.

PreSonus needs to listen to users interested in actually using the software to do real shows or play real gigs with real gear situations, in order to start getting the new Show page into shape. Right now it's woefully limited.

I absolutely agree ... and i'd say even more ... :-) show page should fully implement MIDI TRACKS ... So that You shouldn't convert every track to "audio stems" ... Since my aim is to keep separate tracks in show page (Bass, drum, pads, etc), when i use a plugin for some of them, it will be useful to keep trat track in MIDI format ... the same is for External MIDI (Light controls, external instruments) ... We are already allowed to "split" every song in various "sections" in show page (intro, verses, choruses, etc) if we want (and that's what i want to do) ... If We could include MIDI track and using a "MIDI NOTE MESSAGE" to "launch" the different sections, we would immediately get a very good alternative to ABleton Live ... "CLip launching" can be sostituted by Impact, driving it with an external keyboard or controller ... S1 Audio Quality is far superior to Ableton SO it would be great if We all could move Our Ableton Live Set to S1 ...

You would usually only stay in the midi menu after selecting your controller, if you wanted to change any of the midi controls to work in a different way, by moving each individual control and assigning it a new function.

You said the mapping was showing about 200 or so controls. If you move a control does the software respond and show the midi command for that control. If so, then everything is working correctly.

PPs. Although the displays will not show any info on the screens, you should still be able to make use of the physical controls associated with each screen and map them. You would do that by going into display left or display right in midi settings and pressing the controls you want to change.

Yes, this should work but only if Cubase is sending CC100 as you switch instrument tracks. Are you converting from something else on your MFT to CC100 for Cubase or are you just passing CC100 value through? When you see the switch in instrument tracks, are you getting a MIDI message with CC100 coming back from Cubase? You can turn on the log window and monitor both MIDI IN and MIDI out to see the traffic. The input should show something like:

The long form lengths make it difficult for us to always know "where we are" at a particular point in the form. This problem could be easily solved by an app (or device) which displays bars and beats as large text which consumes the entire screen, or maybe a grid display. In the example I described above, the grid would contain the 28 bar form. The app would derive it's clock from the RC505 master and we would somehow tell the app to show the bars/beats within a grid which accommodates 28 bars (a counter would suffice if grid isnt suitable)

I have had this issue with 2 brand new M32 units (returned the 1st one assuming a HW issue). When I run the latest firmware update app (140 MAC), it indicates the app firmware version is 0.4.5 but my units both had 1.0.1 so the app does not think it needs to update. Is this correct? - i.e. is the latest M32 firmware 1.0.1 or 0.4.5? Also both units have an issue in MIDI mode when the NI Host Integration agent is running. The 2nd knob always shows garbage characters instead of the proper label in the midi template. The unit also gets stuck in midi mode until it's repowered. Midi mode works fine if I terminate the host integration agent or if I plug the unit into an ipad (no host integration). Are units leaving the factory with untested beta firmware of some sort? I have trield multiple ports, different hubs/ direct connect, different accounts, and completely different MACs. Is there a way to force load 0.4.5 to an M32?

Yes - just using the latest KK standalone version 2.7.2 (R2) for mac. The KK browsing works as does DAW integration. The issues appear when you enter MIDI mode with the default template or with new templates I create in KK. When I turn the knobs using any Midi template, the display will show incorrect or garbage data for some knobs (always knob 2). And you can no longer exit midi mode (needs a repower). But, midi mode works fine if the NI Host Integration agent is not running (i.e. if I kill the agent or plug into a device like an ipad that does not use the agent). It appears as though there is a bug with the 1.0.1 firmware on the M32, or a bug with the app/ agent that comes with the latest KK 2.7.2. This is what the garbage data looks like.

yup - I agree as well. I'm not sure how much the KK Host Integration Agent is involved in the operations of the keyboard, but if it's essentially following everything the host is calling for then I would say it's a bug in KK 2.7.2. Looking at the release notes, there were midi template changes too in 2.7.2. I would love to be able to try 2.7.1 but native access does not allow me to go back. I have an active ticket with NI so once we get to the bottom of it I will post the answer here. I have to believe that everyone using a new M32 on a mac is experiencing this. Maybe MIDI mode when the KK host is active is not a popular workflow for people, but I was hoping to create templates for some other devices I have and pop into MIDI mode now and again - not doable as it stands now.

I borrowed an M32 running 0.4.5 and it works perfectly! it's clearly a bug with the 1.0.1 firmware installed on the M32 from the factory. The bug must have been introduced between the 0.4.5 firmware and the 1.0.1 firmware shipping on at least some new units (at least the 2 that I purchased from an authorized retailer). Ticket with NI in progress. Will update here once I get a resolution from NI.

I stuck with NI for at least a month on this issue, but in the end I had to ask the stores to let me try used units until I found one with the released frmware - all good with the released firmware. So ultimately I lost interest in 1.0.1 but I am very surprised to hear they have not addressed this. The M32 must not be selling much or people must not be using MIDI mode. As far as I could tell, the host mode features worked fine. Good luck!

I have been using my midi keyboard with Logic Pro X and it has been working fine until now. All of a sudden now when i press a key or chord there is no sound, however the hits are being recognised as Logic still shows me the chord in the transport window. Very bizarre as I have not changed any settings, it just changed on its own and now doesn't work!

I have open a load of different midi tracks open all using either a Logic instrument or a Kontact instrument from Komplete. It's weird, I had used brass, strings, organs, pianos, synths, drums, everything and now suddenly nothing makes a noise. However if i type in a note on the editor it does make sound.

Native Instruments stuff is very octave dependent. Most of those only play within certain octaves, and specific keys, to the left (bass) are for various controls. I'm betting your M-Audio keyboard needs to have the octave it is play adjusted. Check the user manual, there's a way to adjust what octaves are being played up and down. In Kontact, look at the bottom of the window, it should show you the octaves used on a keyboard, and show you when those keys are pressed. This will let you know if you're actually hitting the right keys or not. There things to check are, output device assignment in the Preferences. Plus input/output in the "Audio MIDI Setup" application (in the Utilities folder found inside the Applications folder).

It's not an octave thing as i have checked all keys and octaves, but i've just worked out it must be just a native instruments thing as the logic sounds still work when the keyboard is played. Do i have to re-install Complete or is there another easier way?

Very novice user here. Just updated to 2023.09 as it stated it will be the last update and application must be updated to this release in order to ensure it will activate in the future. Opened up a project just started the other day and the Midi tracks now do not point to speakers as output, just show a generic 1 on the output label. Cannot get anything through to speakers when I hit play, or if I try to input through an attached midi keyboard. I can see activity on the meter for tracks I have already have midi information but no output to speakers, and there is nothing happening if I try and input from a midi keyboard. If I click on the output icon it just lists "New drum map" and "Drum map manager...". The Audio tracks still show the output as Master and play fine.

Please note this is when I select to add an Instrument track rather than dragging in one of the installed vst3 plug in instruments or cakewalk instruments. I am just selecting generic instruments in this project. The vst3 and cakewalk instruments seem to work fine and show out put as master, it is the generic instruments that have lost focus. ff782bc1db
