SHOOTING RANGE RULES
Eye and Ear protection MUST be worn by everyone on or near the firing line during all live fire sessions.
ALWAYS keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
ALWAYS keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.
- PERSONS USING THIS RANGE DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK.
- Obtain permission from other shooters for a “cease fire” BEFORE proceeding down range. Never should any shooter handle, work on, or otherwise touch their respective firearms while people are present down range.
- Be respectful of fellow shooters using the ranges. Arrange targets being mindful of potential ricochets (Pistol Bays).
- Shooting will take place on designated ranges ONLY. Appropriate firearms must be used on each range.
- All firearms must remain unloaded with actions open except on the firing line.
- All handguns will be carried in a manner conforming to state law. Preferably, all handguns should be securely carried in a holster and only removed from the holster on a firing line.
- NO military armor piercing or tracer ammunition or tannerite targets may be used on ANY range.
- Willful damage or destruction of range property will result in criminal prosecution.
- NO alcohol or drugs will be allowed on the premises at ANY TIME. Violators will be asked to leave the premises. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- No Littering. Clean up your brass and all targets.
- NO Full Auto may be used on any range without preauthorization on file with the Shoshoni Rifle Club
- Shooters 18 or younger may use range facilities ONLY with direct adult supervision.
- If ANY unsafe behavior is observed, report it to the Shoshoni Police Department @ 307-876-2600
