ShortReels is developed and operated by hawk99zxc (“ShortReels,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how ShortReels accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the ShortReels mobile application.
By using ShortReels, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
When ShortReels connects to our content and application services, the following technical information may be transmitted:
An identifier generated by ShortReels for the app installation
Android ID
Temporary application session identifier
Device manufacturer, brand, model, and product information
Android operating system version
Device build information
Screen dimensions
Device language and application language
Country and time-zone settings
IP address and network connection information
We use this information to connect the app to its services, authenticate requests, deliver compatible content, select the appropriate language, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose technical problems, and improve service reliability.
We do not request GPS-based precise location. However, service providers may infer an approximate location from an IP address or device region settings.
ShortReels may create an anonymous service session containing:
A service-generated user identifier
Authentication keys
Security signatures and session identifiers
This information is required to authenticate requests and provide application functionality. Authentication credentials stored on the device are encrypted before being saved.
ShortReels does not currently require users to create a personal account using a name, email address, or password.
When you use ShortReels, we may process information such as:
Search terms submitted through the app
Content, series, or episodes requested from the content service
Playback selections necessary to stream an episode
Saved series
Recent searches
Watch history and playback progress
Downloaded episode metadata
Subtitle, language, playback, download, notification, and quality preferences
Search terms and content requests are transmitted to the relevant application or content service so that ShortReels can provide results and stream the requested content.
Saved content, recent search history, watch history, playback progress, download records, and application preferences are primarily stored locally on your device.
We do not use this information for cross-app behavioral advertising.
ShortReels uses Google Play Billing to offer Premium subscriptions.
Google Play processes payments and may provide ShortReels with limited purchase information, including:
Purchased product and subscription plan
Purchase status
Purchase token
Offer or billing period
Subscription entitlement status
ShortReels uses this information to complete, acknowledge, restore, and verify Premium access.
We do not receive or store your complete payment card number, bank account details, or Google Account password. Payment information is processed by Google Play according to Google’s own privacy terms.
If you choose to use voice search, ShortReels opens a speech-recognition service available on your device.
The speech-recognition provider may process your voice input and return recognized text to ShortReels. ShortReels uses the returned text to perform your search and does not independently record or store the original audio.
Voice processing may be governed by the privacy policy of Google or the speech-recognition provider selected on your device.
When you download an episode, ShortReels stores the video and related metadata on your device. Depending on your Android version, downloaded files may be placed in application storage or Android media storage.
Downloaded files remain on the device until you remove them, clear the application’s data, or uninstall the app, subject to the storage and backup behavior of your device.
If Android backup is enabled, eligible ShortReels application data may be included in backups managed by Google or your device manufacturer. The processing and retention of those backups are controlled by the applicable platform provider and your device backup settings.
We use information processed through ShortReels to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the application
Authenticate application requests
Search for and stream video content
Save and restore playback progress
Provide offline downloads
Remember application and language preferences
Enable background playback and media controls
Process and restore Premium subscriptions
Protect the service against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
Diagnose failures and improve performance
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
ShortReels may request or use the following Android capabilities:
Internet and network state: To connect to application services, stream content, check connectivity, and download episodes.
Notifications: To display playback controls, background media information, and download progress where supported.
Foreground media playback: To continue playing audio or video when ShortReels is in the background or the screen is locked.
Wake lock: To maintain active playback or downloads when necessary.
Storage access on older Android versions: To save downloaded videos on Android 9 and earlier.
You may manage applicable permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
ShortReels may transmit limited information to service providers that help operate the app, including:
Application API and content delivery providers
Video streaming and subtitle providers
Hosting and network infrastructure providers
Google Play and Google Play Billing
Speech-recognition providers selected on the device
Android or device backup providers
These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their respective services and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
Comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process
Protect users, ShortReels, or the public
Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical problems
Complete a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of the application, subject to appropriate privacy protections
Locally stored information, including saved videos, search history, watch history, playback progress, downloaded episode records, and settings, is retained until you remove it, clear ShortReels application data, or uninstall the application.
Authentication and session information is retained for as long as necessary to maintain an active service session and may be cleared when the session expires or application data is removed.
Premium entitlement information is retained locally to remember whether Premium access is active and is refreshed using Google Play Billing.
Technical service logs and request information controlled by us are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and comply with legal obligations relating to the service.
Third-party providers may retain information according to their own retention policies.
ShortReels does not currently provide personal user accounts.
You can delete locally stored information by:
Removing individual saved, history, or downloaded items within the app
Clearing ShortReels storage through Android Settings
Uninstalling ShortReels
Clearing application data or uninstalling the app may not automatically delete information independently retained by Google Play, a speech-recognition provider, a backup provider, or another external service.

Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant installation or request. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
We may retain limited information when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance with law.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information processed through ShortReels. These safeguards include encrypted network connections and encrypted local storage for authentication credentials.
However, no network transmission, application, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
ShortReels is not directed to children under the minimum digital-consent age applicable in their country.
We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying information from children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information through ShortReels, contact us at hawk99zxc@gmail.com. We will review the request and delete information under our control when legally required.
Depending on the location of our service providers, information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that information is handled with protections consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
ShortReels may display content, media, subtitles, or links supplied by third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not govern websites, applications, or services operated independently by third parties.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those providers before using their services.
