SHOPSHOT (“we”, “the app”) is an Android app for shopkeepers. Package name: com.shopshot.pro.

1. What the app does

You take or upload a product photo. The app writes selling copy (description, Facebook post, Instagram caption, hashtags, poster text) in languages you choose.

2. Information we use

We do not create user accounts and we do not ask for your name, phone number, or email inside the app.

On your device, the app may store:

• Product photos you take or upload

• Captions, hashtags, and poster text you generate or edit

• Shop name, product name, price, category, and tone if you type them

• Language settings

• Daily free-picture count and whether Premium is unlocked

This stays in app storage on your phone unless you generate AI captions (see below) or uninstall the app.

3. Camera and photos

The camera and photo library are used only when you tap Take photo or Upload. Photos are used to make captions and posters. We do not use the camera in the background.

4. AI captions (Google Gemini)

When you tap Generate captions, the product photo and the details you entered (such as product name, price, shop name, category, tone, and languages) are sent to Google’s Gemini API so the app can write copy from the photo.

Google processes that data under Google’s own terms and privacy policy:

https://policies.google.com/privacy

If the AI request fails, the app can still write copy on your device from your photo and details. That on-device copy is not sent to Gemini.

5. Purchases

Premium ($5, product id shopshot_premium) is sold through Google Play. Google handles payment. We only keep a Premium-unlocked flag on your device. We do not see your full payment card details.

6. Ads

The free plan may show an in-app rewarded ad so you can generate one extra photo. We do not sell your product photos to advertisers.

7. Internet

The app needs internet for AI captions and Google Play purchases. Fonts may load from Google Fonts.

8. Children

SHOPSHOT is for shopkeepers and is not directed at children under 13.

9. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Google (Gemini) when you generate AI captions

• Google Play when you buy Premium

• Your device storage for history and settings

10. Retention and deletion

History and settings stay on your phone until you clear history in the app or uninstall SHOPSHOT. Uninstalling removes local app data. Data already sent to Google for an AI request is handled by Google.

11. Your choices

You can refuse camera permission and upload a photo instead. You can edit or delete history in the app. You can uninstall the app at any time.

12. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date.
