Hailey is a young adult, who, despite spending her first two weeks of life in Oklahoma, considers herself a proud Texan. She fell in love with engineering in the 6th grade, at her technology-based magnet school, which blossomed into all of her aspirations for the future. Throughout middle and high school, she was a band kid, playing alto saxophone, though she pretty much quit playing after her senior year. Being in band, especially marching band and jazz band, shaped her experiences and social abilities, and allowed her to connect as a functioning member of a team.
Over the years, since early elementary school, she has tried writing several books, but has gotten discouraged or bored with most of them, until she had to write a book about Jesse James for her final project in her English class, her sophomore year of high school. She has written three books, so far, including a realistic fiction novelette about Jesse James, that she wrote at the end of her sophomore year; a YA novella about a New York teen that suddenly gains powers after a concussion, that she wrote in 7th grade, 8th grade, and her freshman year of college; and an anthology of poetry that she wrote between 7th grade and her freshman year of college.
She is currently in school for Material Science and Engineering, and enjoys volunteering with a few of her orgs, and doing space-based research that partners with agencies, like NASA and the ESA.
