Dr. M. K. Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. Dr. Gupta has completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna in 2016. Before joining NIT Jamshedpur, he has worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Madras. He has many awards to his name such as qualifying GATE and CSIR-UGC JRF twice with top ranks and various other international grants and fellowships. The core areas of his research are Control Theory, Linear Algebra & Matrix Theory, Linear and Nonlinear Systems, State Estimation, Observer design, Differential-Algebraic Equations (Descriptor Systems), Design of Output and Input Feedback, and Fault Diagnosis. He has published several research papers in the journals of international repute. He has supervised five M.Sc. projects and currently, three doctoral students are working with him. He has undertaken a research project sponsored by SERB (DST, Government of India) as Principal Investigator. His teaching experience includes several graduate and undergraduate courses.
