I was the first PhD Student in LUMS who took Math Circle to my own village on 07/11/2022 completely on my own after volunteering in a lot of math circles. One of the faculty member Dr. Waqas Ali Azhar from LUMS Math Department wrote a BLOG ARTICLE on that. There are two government schools in my village Chak 678 GB Khair Shah, Tehsi; Pirmahal, District Toba Tek Singh. One, Govt. Primary School for Boys and other is Govt Middle School for Girls. I conducted 2 math circles, 1 for boys and other for girls and received a tremendous response.
Dr. Waqas Ali Azhar's words about me:
"A Ph.D. student M. Shoaib from LUMS, who has been a volunteer in our in-house circles got so inspired that he conducted Math Circles in Government schools of his hometown on his own. This feels like a beginning of a new journey of LUMS Math Circles to inspire our young instructors to promote Mathematics at the grass root level. It is really important for our educational system that young university instructors take pride in enhancing school-level education in Pakistan. M. Shoaib deserves huge applause for his dedicated efforts."
