His offensive production, shot-blocking ability, and contributions to both the offense and defense make him a formidable candidate for the Scott Stevens Best Defenseman Trophy. But with the season still in progress, anything can happen, and all three players will continue to battle it out on the blue line until the final whistle blows. With an impressive stat line of 56 goals and 55 assists for a combined total of 111 points, Kirkby has been a dominant force on the ice, propelling his team to success.

Kirkby's scoring ability has been nothing short of extraordinary. His 56 goals are the highest in the league, showcasing his incredible skill and accuracy in finding the back of the net. His 55 assists also highlight his playmaking ability, as he consistently sets up his teammates for scoring opportunities. Kirkby's remarkable point total of 111 is a testament to his all-around offensive prowess and has been a driving force behind the Forge's success this season.

Kirkby's shot accuracy and power make him a constant threat to opposing goaltenders, and his scoring ability has been a key factor in the Forge's offensive firepower.

While Kirkby has been a standout performer, he faces stiff competition from other MVP candidates in the league. Lias Ekolm-Gunnarsson of the Winnipeg Aurora has also had a stellar season with 95 points, including 38 goals and 57 assists. Mikko Rashford, also of the Winnipeg Aurora, has been a force to be reckoned with, notching 37 goals and 55 assists. Despite the competition, Kirkby's performance this season has been nothing short of remarkable. His ability to score goals at an elite level, create scoring opportunities for his teammates, and his exceptional shot percentage have made him a standout player in the league. He has been a driving force behind the Forge's success and has been instrumental in their pursuit of the playoffs.

As the regular season comes to a close, Kirkby's impressive performance has put him in a prime position to capture the Ron Mexico MVP award. On the other side of the ice, Ace and RashfordU of the Winnipeg Aurora have been equally impressive. With 39 wins, 11 losses, and 2 overtime losses, the Aurora have accrued 80 points, currently leading their division. While their point total may be slightly lower than that of the Forge, their goal differential of +141 is a testament to their team's offensive prowess and defensive stability. S70 Week 1.5

GMs of the Year

In sim leagues, there's nothing more impressive than a GM who can take a struggling team and turn them into a contender. There are a few GMs, though that seem to be rising to the challenge.

The Minnesota Monarchs were definitely not in the top of the pack last season, but it seems that they are clawing their way to being bigger and better than before with the work they have put in with their team. Seeing their win record be close to last seasons already, this early in the season, gives some good signs that things are heading in the right direction.

While Montreal was already a top three team last season, there have been some rumors about their GMs in the mix as well, for the coveted award. They've made some smart moves with trades and draft picks that seem to be paying off as they enter their competitive window. Will it be enough this season? No idea.

Wall Repeat? Or will Texas usurp

As we approach the middle of the season, two goalies have emerged as top contenders for the John McBride goalie award. This year two goaltenders are competing for the coveted prize. Brick Wall and Alexis Texas have both had impressive seasons, but their stats are very close. It is clearly anyone's award to win at this point.

Brick Wall, who has played 18 games this season, has a goals against average of 2.57 and a save percentage of 0.919. He has been a consistent and reliable presence in net for his team, and has made some truly spectacular saves throughout the season. His quick reflexes and ability to read the play have helped him stop some of the best players in the league, and have helped his team stay in the playoff hunt.

Meanwhile, Alexis Texas has played 13 games this season, with a goals against average of 2.71 and a save percentage of 0.902. Despite playing in fewer games, Texas has still managed to make a significant impact on her team. Her ability to control rebounds and make key saves has helped her team win some important games this season.

Both Brick Wall and Alexis Texas have shown that they are capable of playing at the highest level, and their performances this season have earned them the respect of their teammates and fans alike. However, the judges of the John McBride goalie award will have to consider a number of factors when deciding who will take home the trophy.

While Brick Wall's consistency and reliability give him an edge in the competition, Alexis Texas's ability to step up in big moments and make game-changing saves cannot be overlooked. In the end, it will come down to the judges' subjective evaluations, and both goaltenders will have to wait and see who will take home the award.

Jeff Dar

Grogu Mandosson has been having a stellar season already. His success on the ice shouldn't be a surprise to anyone as he starts to hit the peak for his career, and his ability to play both offense and defense at a high level has made him a valuable asset for the Dragons. He's sitting (at the time of writing this, anyway) at 28 takeaways, and 34 points, making him a top candidate early in the season for the Jeff Dar award.

One of the things that sets Mandosson apart is his ability to anticipate the moves of his opponents and create turnovers. But Mandosson isn't just a defensive stalwart. He also contributes offensively, with 34 points on the season so far. His ability to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates and find the back of the net himself has helped the Dragons remain competitive in a tough division.

Ryan Jesster

As the SHL season progresses, one rookie that has been turning heads is Cale Salad of the Philadelphia Forge. Salad, a talented forward, has been a key contributor to the Forge's success this season, and has quickly established himself as one of the league's most promising young players.

In just his first season, he has already made an impact. Sitting currently with 21 points (7 goals and 14 assists), and a remarkable 15.9% shot percentage, his scoring ability and accuracy have made him a valuable addition to the Forge's offensive lineup. Fans of the Philadelphia Forge and hockey in general have much to look forward to as they watch Salad's career unfold.

S70 Week 1 Preview

Ron Mexico Hopefuls?

With S70 currently underway, it's no surprise that there are already a few leaders that have emerged as candidates for the Ron Mexico trophy. Among them are three hopefuls: Red Kirkby of the Philadelphia Forge, and Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Brick Wall both of the Montreal Patriotes. Kirkby stands strong right now as a points and goals leader in the league, with 24 goals, and 43 points. His impressive playmaking skills and ability to create scoring opportunities have been a key factor in the Forge's success thus far. Don't let that fool you though, Hundertwasser is right behind with 40 points. Hundertwasser's ability to control the tempo of the game and create scoring chances for his linemates has been instrumental in the Patriotes' success this season. His vision and creativity on the ice have made him a nightmare for opposing defenses to handle. While Hundertwasser probably needs to step up his game with goals to have a better chance, it's very clear that it is still anyone's race right now.

Brick Wall, though makes for another interesting addition to the mix. Coming in as a goalie, he has an impressive 13 and 1 start, with an incredible 0.921 Save Percentage, and only 35 goals allowed. It can be difficult to compare the value of a forward and a goalie, but it's definitely clear that Brick is also made of the right stuff.

Keep watching the streams to see who might have a chance to win this season.

Speaking of Kirkby & Hundertwasser...

You may want to write down Kirkby's name in for the Aidan Richan Most Improved award too. With only one week into the S70 season, Kirkby is already at half the points that he had last season. The only question is whether or not he'll be able to continue the pace. The same holds true for Hundertwasser, sitting just over that halfway point himself as well.

We have a few more weeks to see if anyone else starts to breakout and become a star.

Bojo Biscuit Anyone?

The Toronto North Stars have a defensive powerhouse in Ben Der who has been making waves early in the season with his performance on the ice. Der has already tallied an incredible 98 blocks and 11 hits, as well as 21 takeaways. As a defensive player, Der's primary job is to protect his team's net and prevent the opposing team from scoring. With his impressive blocking skills, he has become a wall of defense for the North Stars, making it nearly impossible for the opposition to get past him.

Can he maintain the momentum throughout the rest of the season and tie up the Bojo Biscuit Award? Right now that's anyone's guess.
