Dominance interactions in female social mammals

Group-living species interact to create a ranking system, where dominant individuals outcompete other group members. In this project, we will determine the effect of dominance rank on female reproductive success in mammals and the factors that mediate this relationship. More details

Metacognitive judgements in human social cooperation

Metacognition allows individual to access their thoughts and understanding. Better metacognitive judgements help individuals to have more certainty about their decisions as well as other's decision. Using behavioral and computational experiments, I tried to find if this could potentially give rise to higher cooperation in human society.

Observational Dog Behavior Study

With a population of more than 35 million Stray dogs in India, it can be found on every street. I looked at their behavior to find out how much time they spend in various activities like eating, sleeping, flicking their tail, looking around etc. This project investigated the time-activity budget of street dogs using scan sampling and all occurrences.

Post-error slowing in human children

People slow down after making an error. This comes at the cost of speed response where people want to have the next response correct even though they respond slower. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) children have diminished PES, so this could be used as a potential behavioral indicator to distinguish healthy and ADHD patients.
