This is McCarthyism irresponsibly spread by some self described 'model' (who knows if that is even true) lumping innocent people in with noted alleged sexual assault perpetrators fueled by undocumented news reports with headlines like:

"model posts 'blacklist' to protect models from sexual assault."

GIVING the public named targets, inciting her followers to avoid these people who work in the fashion business. I doubt if he/she/they would want to themselves face such hate, ridicule and loss of work because of it. In fact they state they are anonymous because they fear losing work and blamed taking down their list on threats against them. Now isn't that a laugh. They claim they are afraid of exactly what they called their followers out to do to those they accused.

By the end of its run with press coverage included The BLACKLIST contained 500+ names of 'alleged' sexual assailants in the fashion industry.

AGAIN, This page is a 'cyber history' of the @ShitModelMgmt #Shitmodelmgmt event in Feb/Mar of 2018.

Given SHITMODELMGMT's history and large number of followers with an ANONYMOUS leader they were capable of a lot of damage and personal injury to those they targeted.

She/he/they did not take any responsibility for how she/he/they created this list stating they were simply reporting names from private messages sent to them by their following whose accusations also remained anonymous.

She/he/they maliciously gathered these reports, further attacking their targets in the media by stating "So many. Almost half of them probably. My entire email is full of these pretend lawsuits and I'm just ignoring them. It's funny because most of the ones that are the worst and most repeated names are the ones that are scared. So that's why I'm not afraid because I know that they are afraid" & "You can't defend these people, especially when they have stars by their names... that's serious. Instead of trying to defend him and get him off the list, talk to him, find answers and question him. You shouldn't automatically defend someone. Maybe be a little skeptical, you know?" in the PAPER Magazine interview.

I was one of those people with asterisks by their name which she emailed me took my name off the list prior to removing the site entirely. The email stated that after reviewing the complaints against me they were more vocal abuse than sexual. That is a damn lie and there is a big difference between being 'vocally abusive' and sexually.

You do not create a badly informed sexual predator list from emails you dont even vet before listing the person.

If you truly are concerned about the people emailing you, you Go to the authorities or encourage the victims to do so. You solve the problem, You do not create lynch mob list hurting peoples reputations, safety and livelihood.

Sexual assault is an act of violence that should not be taken lightly. It is so vilified in the world that the mere mention of it horrifies and disgusts people. To label people on a blacklist as such is to put their lives and personal relationships in danger. They could also become victims of hate crime themselves. SHITMODELMGMT your act of doing this BLACKLIST shows a total disregard for the lives and safety of everyone on that list including people like me who were falsely accused of sexual inappropriate behavior by you.

Furthermore to create it anonymously with arbitrary rumor shows an unwillingness to take full responsibility for this terrible act you have deliberately set into motion and you should be fully held accountable to the full extent of the law for slander, lost wages, lost reputations and possibly even personal harm.

My name remained on your blacklist for several days and even though you removed it prior to taking down the list the fact remains you did it.

The following list contains the names of people in the fashion industry that I SUGGEST models avoid, because I have been told that they have acted sexually inappropriate to models. Before a shoot or job, please check the list and see if any of the names on here are on your call sheet. You can email me if you need to tell me any information. (shitmodelmanagement@gmail.com) The names without an asterisk are a warning- they have only been named once. Just stay cautious and smart when planning to work with them. The names with an asterisk have been named over 3 times and should be avoided in order to stay safe.

Every name on this list was sent to me by other people, and I am simply reporting, after fact checking to the best of my ability, what was said to me. This is not my personal opinion, I am reporting the experiences of others. Until proven, these names are simply allegations. This does not discredit any experiences shared with me; as I am reporting what was told to me over direct messages, I’m formally stating that the claims are allegations. Take from that what you will.

I started this list a few months ago, when models began sharing their stories with me. I asked my followers to message me the names of any photographers, agents, stylists, designers, and anyone else involved in the fashion industry that acted sexually inappropriate towards them. My dms immediately blew up. I was receiving thousands of messages from different male and female models. To the models that trusted me with your stories- I am so grateful that you came to me and spoke up. There were some stories about how the photographer (or stylist, agent, etc) tried to coerce them into taking off their clothes when they already said no, sending unwanted sexually explicit messages, pressuring the models for nudes, trying to exchange sex for shoots or getting signed, pushing unwanted sexual advances on them, inappropriate touching, crude sexual comments, and even full on sexual assault. It takes so much strength and bravery to openly talk about sexual assault. We are always warned of "creepy photographers." But it isn't always the typical "creep." It can be someone you know. Someone you trusted. It can be a young, cute guy. It can be a woman. A lot of times, a sexual assailant is someone popular or "famous" in the fashion world. Speaking up comes with the fear of ruining your career. Sometimes you don't even know that it was sexual assault until it has happened. And sometimes the agency doesn't even care. But remember that YOU are the victim. Not the abuser. Not the predator. Not anyone else. And you have the right to be ANGRY. Coming out with your story is terrifying, but naming your abuser can help keep other potential victims safe. Do not be afraid of being doubted. Even posting this list is scary for me. I know that I will receive backlash. But I cannot keep silent when I know that so many of my model sisters and brothers have been hurt by someone- and knowing that I have a way to end it.

This is not what we are talking about. We are talking about a list of photographers in which the author of the list admitted that they went with their gut feeling on who to accuse based off of anonymous emails. I also believe that many of the stories may have some truth to them but I also acknowledge that the method in which the author collected and vetted the allegations is ripe for abuse. I also have an issue with he fact that there is no way to distinguish between the factual allegations and the made up allegations without specifics. If the author of the list is going to take on the cause of making accusations then he or she (cause you truly don’t know who this person is) then they should also be willing to admit fault when presented with evidence of the contrary. The author of this list has been sent correspondence in which the accuser (using the same email address in which they accused has admitted to the false allegations). That photographers information remains on the list even though the false allegation was they only allegation against the photographer. It would be nice if @shitmodelmgmt would address this specifically.
• Reporters and mass media are different in that they have a vetting process and editorial board for stories like this. They also tend to contact the accused prior to publication of an allegation. There is no credible publication that would post an unverified list because that is simply irresponsible.

The conditions are so entirely different….Consider who directs and controls the shoot. I’m very sure there’s models who have tried to seduce favorable position, but it’s entirely different when you dont have power over someone. Physical or metaphorical. I personally, have never heard a story about a creepy model doing anything closely related to the stories I’ve heard from this account, this industry, or other friends. It’s likely it has happened, but it’s also likely that I would have heard something, anything, by now. “Creepy” is largely different than “sexual predator”. In a competitive field such as this, you are also going to get at least some photographers making false accusations against their competitors to smear their name publicly. It’s a very slippery slope and almost logically fallacious to call your name ending up on the list “cyber rape”, that’s a massive exaggeration and a false metaphor and you know it. As a rape victim, as Kizzie mentioned above, you should be empathetic about other people having the courage to voice their stories because you should also understand how traumatic talking about something like that is, it’s like reliving it all over again. So instead of invalidating people’s painful experience that has been seared into their mind, shouldn’t you be not getting in the way of wanting these people, the same people that belonged to this toxic culture of abuse and assaulted you, to be outed so other models in the future can protect themselves. You can have no-fly lists, or lists of people who are banned from buying guns. Lists like this should also exist because instead ask yourself why some people don’t end up on this list instead? I too am a photographer myself but I keep my relationships with my models friendly, comfortable and most of all respectful. I even leave the location sometimes so they can change without having to hide themselves in the corner. Point being anyway that, even if you’re on the list, the way to defend yourself is to contact the account personally and get yourself removed. Wanting the entire list removed for your own sake (if you realise, your entire argument so far has been you-centric) instead of allowing other models to have a reference to protect themselves with in the future then you don’t actually want to destroy rape culture as much as you say you do.
