Hello there! My name is Annie Shirley, and I am the owner of Shirley Child Education Advocating Service. My goal is to help a child with special needs get the services they deserve. Along with professional experience as a exceptional education teacher for 18 years, I also have personal experience. My daughter was born with a disability and has an IEP. She has had an IEP for 12 years, and I have personally attended several ARC meetings. I continue to advocate for her and always will. If you knew my daughter when she began services until now you would be surprised at all the progress she has made. Every child has a journey to take and no story is the same. Each child needs different supports to get to where they are going. At times when you sit around a table it can feel scary when it's you against several on the same team.
