"From Real Space to the Brain: Designing Society with Information Networks"

We research information networks targeting a wide scale, from smart cities to the brain. The key is sensing, communication, and computational processing technologies such as 3D (three-dimensional image) sensors that maximize the accuracy and speed of machine learning performed by AI (artificial intelligence). Additionally,  security technologies required in the smart city era, such as blockchain technology for the Internet of Things (IoT) that securely protects sensor data. Outdoors, we aim for zero accidents by sensing vehicles and pedestrians "without blind spots". Based on the information model formed by sensing the brain, we pursue an information space that is truly comfortable for each individual. Through the services realized by the technologies of our research lab, we contribute to weaving together society, promoting the realization of a prosperous society through information networks that enrich people's lives.

Our research lab can be described as engaged in the study of the Meta AI network. "Meta" in this context means "A higher dimension beyond that" and the AI network refers to a network where the functions of AI cooperate with each other. Similar to how our human bodies are controlled by will, the Meta AI network will control the entire network of various AI functions in unison. Based on this concept, our research lab is generating innovation and advancing the redesign of human society.
