"Imitate the Cat, Welcome the Cat: Cats from Shunga and Maneki-neko of Shin-Yoshiwara" 

In this exhibition, based on the "Grasping Clouds" series inspired by the impactful experience from Shinichi Kaneko's encounter with Shunga art, elements of cats depicted in Shunga and the Maneki-neko of Shin-Yoshiwara intertwine. This creates a space where past and present, tradition and modernity intersect.
