Biography: Shingo Kikuta received his Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Tokyo, Japan, and subsequently underwent postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Agrobiological Science. He was appointed as an assistant professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. In 2018, he held the position of Assistant Professor at the College of Agriculture of Ibaraki University. Since 2021, he has been promoted to Associate Professor. His laboratory specializes in the study of the molecular functions of agricultural pests and the development of biological monitoring tools based on fluorescent proteins such as FRET and circularly permuted GFP, with the aim of identifying novel agrochemical ingredients that can be applied to high-throughput screening platforms.
