The 6-member girl group that released their 2nd Japanese single "Teddy Bear -Japanese Ver.-" on April 5 appeared in an interview with TV LIFE! ◆Japan 2nd Single "Teddy Bear -Japanese Ver.-" is the Japanese version of the song that was a hit in Korea. "Teddy Bear" won first place on music programs, and the dance became a hot topic. A lot of people were doing dance challenges. What impressed you the most?

SIEUN: A YouTuber who is active in Korea, Ttaengkkang(땡깡; DanceKang), did a dance challenge with us for “STEREOTYPE” *, but this time he covered “Teddy Bear” alone and uploaded a video. He gave it to me. I am very grateful that he grasped the points well and covered us with charm.

YOON: I like the YouTube channel of Japanese people called TomoTomo, and I often watch it with the members, and they danced to our "POPPY". It was very strange but very cute and happy, I think.

◆Please tell us what items you always bring with you when you come abroad.

YOON: I always bring my camera. I like taking pictures of landscapes. I haven't been able to shoot in Japan yet (at the time of the interview), but I want to shoot landscapes, buildings, and the sky. When I come abroad, I always bring my camera and take pictures, and I enjoy looking back at them later and remembering how much fun I had at that time. As for the camera, the producer gave me a Fujifilm camera for my birthday two years ago, so I'm using that. 

SIEUN: I always carry a foam roller and a yoga mat. I usually like to exercise, and I like to relax my body. Even if I go abroad, I always have to take care of my body with the same foam roller, so I always take it with me.

SEEUN: I don't usually drink vitamins very much, but I brought vitamins that are effective at once. When I'm overseas, I can suddenly get sick, so I brought it with me.

SUMIN: I have many, but first a Bluetooth speaker. Next, I always bring clothes to put on. Bluetooth speakers are for a change of mood while listening to music even when abroad. I bring the clothes I put on because I’m very sensitive to the cold. I remember that when I went to a hot country, the hotel was very cold and shivering, so I used to carry an electric mat, but it broke down, so this time I brought something to wear.

◆What kind of music do you listen to through the speakers?

SUMIN: On YouTube Music, I listen to a playlist of songs that I want to listen to when having fun, and recently I'm addicted to J-POP, so I'm listening to a playlist of "Recently popular J-POP". I'm also addicted to the movie "Suzume no Tojimari(すずめの戸締まり; Suzume)", so I also listen to the movie's songs.

J: I brought a foam roller and lactic acid bacteria. I drink lactic acid bacteria as a habit, and I use a foam roller because my feet are often swollen.

ISA: I bring massage tools! I have one for my face and another for my body. Not only overseas, but also in Korea, I always carry them with me.

◆What kind of activities would you like to do in Japan? Also, are there any artists you would like to meet?

YOON: I want to appear on "Mezamashi TV (めざましテレビ)". I heard that Japanese people often watch this program in the morning. I would like many people to know about STAYC by appearing on the program.

SUMIN: I want to do a Tokyo Dome tour.

SIEUN: The people I want to meet are Satomi Ishihara and Kentaro Sakaguchi. I often see their work, so I would like to meet them.

ISA: We all often say that we would like to meet “Yuuri-san(優里; Yuuri; 유우리(가수))”. He's a hot artist in Korea right now, and his songs are really good.

◆Please tell us about your favorite makeup method these days.

YOON: When I was active, I used to do the way to add pink cheeks so that the cheeks and nose are connected. It's very cute when I make my hairstyle pop or have a cute hairstyle.

SUMIN: I'm the type of person who likes to try out various methods, but this time I challenged myself with "pook (부끄러워; bukkeuleowo; shy) makeup" for activities in Japan. After applying the blusher to dark eyes, I try to draw a point with pink or white eyeliner from above saying “pook, pook (shy, shy)” and draw a point to make it look like a character. I usually like to add points with overlips and eyebrows.

SIEUN: When I had a schedule or when I was on stage, I used make-up to make my cheeks and nose look beautiful with highlights and light. Also, I like glossy lips, and I like that kind of makeup.

SEEUN: White skin actually has the opposite effect on stage, so I tone down my makeup a bit. I like to do peach-like pink make-up. 

◆ How do you manage clean skin?

SEEUN: I think it's better not to paint too many things. It's rather bad to apply too much, so I try to apply as little as possible.

◆Could you tell us about an interesting episode that recently happened at your dormitory?

SUMIN: Not recently, but when I was carrying a trash can full of small boxes and was about to throw them away, the bottom of the box was felling out and I threw everything up (laughs).

◆How is your room allotted?

YOON: YOON and J, ISA and SEEUN, SUMIN and SIEUN are in the same room.

◆What is the atmosphere of each room?

YOON: J and I have school, so we use a large room with a restroom. The atmosphere in our room is free. It's relatively spacious, so I feel free.

SUMIN: Our room is neat.

SIEUN: There is indirect lighting, and there are quite a few things, but they are neatly arranged. Our room is relatively small, but we try to keep it neat and tidy so that we can spend comfortably in it.

SEEUN: Even though it’s quiet, there are various things like "a room where people live" (laughs).

YOON: Oh yeah! The walls are decorated with accessories, and it's a cute feeling.

ISA: Also, there might be more stuffed toys than I thought.

◆ What is your favorite stuffed animal?

ISA: It's Pikachu♪

SEEUN: I sleep with a doll about the size of my body that SWITH (fan name) gave me.

SUMIN: The cleaning duty is decided in turn, and other than that, there are things like washing the dishes that each person used and putting away the laundry. The rule is that each person should do their own thing.
