Howdy! Thank you for visiting my personal site. Let me introduce myself first!
I am Shilpa Mukhopadhyay, currently a PhD student co-advised by Dr. Amit Roy-Chowdhury and Dr. Hang Qiu at University of California, Riverside (UCR). My current work focuses on Collaborative Perception on V2X. I have worked as a Masters thesis student under Dr. Guni Sharon a the Pi-Star Lab on Distributional Reinforcement Learning for sim-to-real in autonomous racing. I have completed my Summer Research Intern at the Viterbi School-Computer Science of University of Southern California(USC) under Dr. Jyotirmoy Deshmukh on Scenario Description Language development of autonomous vehicles.. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant(TA) for Discover AI program at AI4ALL. Before joining at TAMU, I worked as a Technical Specialist at Continental Automotive Components (India) Pvt. Ltd. in the Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) Business Unit, a Software Engineer at Kritikal Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and as an Associate Software Engineer at Qualcomm India Pvt. Ltd. I have completed my undergraduate studies from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela and completed my dissertation under Dr. Ruchira Naskar on Multimedia Digital Forensics. I have also worked as a Research Summer Intern at Indian Statistical Institute(ISI), Kolkata under Dr. Ansuman Banerjee on Malware Analysis. I am always enthralled by Computer Science Fundamentals and enthusiastic in using Reinforcement Learning, Imitation Learning, Sensor Fusion or Control & Dynamics in Autonomous domain. I have worked on object detection, Localization and HD Map creations of Autonomous Vehicles using Computer Vision and Machine Learning. I have also had the opportunity to work on Android Testing domain in earlier phase of my career. Previously I have researched on Blind Multimedia Forensics using Image Processing and Machine Learning, and Malware Analysis using Data Mining techniques.
