We believe that it is every believer's right and responsibility to pray. In Matthew 6, Jesus tells His audience how to pray by offering a model prayer. It's components can easily be summarized by the mnemonic reminder, ACTS.
A = Address/Adoration...we pray to God the Father via authoritative access by God the Son using the power and leadership of the God the Holy Spirit
C = Confess...although not included in a public prayer (since I cannot ask for God's forgiveness for you and you cannot ask for forgiveness for me), we need to be sure that we have reconciled our spiritual checkbook by reviewing the times we disobeyed and missed God's target for ourselves and matching those mistakes and missed opportunities with the payment of Christ on the cross for each of those sins (I John 1:9)
T = Thanksgiving...actually thank God for the specific blessings that you enjoy
S = Supplication...ask God to supply the needs for you, for your loved ones, for your community members, for worldwide needs, and so on
