Our research group specializes in spin-orbitronics and magnetism. We study spin and orbital torques, as well as spin current-driven magnetization dynamics, including the transmission and conversion of orbital torque in various systems. Additionally, we explore magnetoresistance phenomena, such as unconventional orbital magnetoresistance in light-metal–ferromagnet bilayers.
Our research encompasses a diverse range of materials, including metallic systems, advanced magnetic insulators such as rare-earth transition-metal ferrimagnets and garnets, and novel two-dimensional materials. In particular, we study weakly exchange-coupled antiferromagnets to understand their magnetic structures, magnetic phase transitions, and magnon-related phenomena.
Furthermore, we examine interfacial interaction of thin-film materials, particularly those exhibiting Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions and chiral magnetic textures.
