Short Biography
Shijia Zhao obtained his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering at Texas A&M University in 2018, under supervision of Dr. Chanan Singh, focused on reliability evaluation of bulk power systems. He then joined Argonne National Laboratory as a postdoctoral appointee. Since then he has actively contributed to 3 projects funded by DOE Solar Energy Technology Office and 1 project funded by GMLC.
His area of research include: reliability evaluation and probabilistic analysis; cost-benefit analysis of grid service; evaluation of power system components under extreme weather events; optimization framework and tool development for distribution system restoration.
