Shihao Xie
I am a 4th year Ph.D. student in Control Engineering and Decision Science at University College Dublin, Ireland. I am supervised by Professor Giovanni Russo from University of Salerno while supported by Professor Robert Shorten (IC London) and Professor Francesco Pilla (UC Dublin).
My research interest is mainly with the control of very-large-scale network systems with applications to e.g. robotic network, neural network. This is motivated by the growing interest in increasing the size of network systems while maintaining their desired performance, despite the presence of e.g. external disturbances, communication delays. We term such property as scalability of a network system.
Please feel free to reach me via my email address, I would be keen on exchanging ideas.

Extracurricular Interests
I do a lot of sports when I am out of office. I played basketball and football years ago while now I play tennis and badminton more. The GOAT for me is Rafael Nadal. I also like cycling (road bike) and it is just amazing to be on the bike feeling the wind blowing. I do a bit of star gazing as well!
The universe we live in
The star trail took in Cranfield University, Bedford, UK, in August 2018.
The Milky Way spotted in Oulart, County Wexford, Ireland, in August, 2022.
