I am Md Shihab Reza (he/him/his), an AI enthusiast from Chattogram, Bangladesh, and an incoming PhD student in Computer Science at Northern Illinois University, where I will be supervised by Zhishuai Guo.

I am currently a Research Intern at The Vision and Analytics Lab (THEIA), School of Computer Science, University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, under the supervision of Dr. Soumyabrata Dev. Concurrently, I serve as a Research Assistant at the Design Inclusion and Access Lab (DIAL), North South University, under the mentorship of Dr. Nova Ahmed. Alongside my research roles, I work as an AI Educator & Curriculum Developer at NetCom Learning Bangladesh, designing training modules and workshops to help industry professionals adopt AI and embrace the opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, specialising in Artificial Intelligence, from North South University (NSU), Bangladesh. Previously, I gained industry experience as a Trainee Data Scientist at Systech Datasoft.

Driven by the transformative potential of AI in addressing real-world challenges, I aim to instill that same vision in curious minds. As a lifelong learner, I enjoy thought experiments, problem-solving, and diverse intellectual pursuits. This website is a glimpse into my interests, skills, and contributions.

Vision

My two year research immersions in the field of Artificial Intelligence have significantly elevated my knowledge, thinking capacity, and overall understanding of cutting-edge technologies. My overarching vision is to persist in AI research, focusing on developing interactive solutions and identifying technology interventions for common issues, especially those pertinent to the people in developing countries. Can you imagine a world without you? I strive to be the one whose presence the world cannot do without. Looking towards the future, I aspire to be a successful researcher, dedicated to advancing research initiatives for the betterment of Bangladesh. Simultaneously, I aim to represent Bangladesh on the global stage, fostering collaborations with developed nations and contributing to the growth of young Bangladeshi researchers.
