COVID-19 Detection and Prevention using Chest X-Ray Images

Project Description: The aim of this project was to create an automatic detection system to identify coronavirus-infected patients using chest X-rays. A CNN architecture was implemented to identify if a patient is COVID-19 positive or negative. A total of 140 images were used for training, 50 images for validation from each category (Covid-19 and Healthy), and 16 images for testing (10 images of COVID-19 and 6 images of Healthy). All the images were selected randomly for training, validation, and testing. We achieved an accuracy of 98.79% using this model.
