ShiftTrackr (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application (“App”).
When you create an account or sign in using third-party services (such as Google), we may collect:
Name – to personalize your experience
Email Address – for authentication and account recovery
Profile Picture – if you choose to upload one or if provided by your Google profile
To provide our core services, the App collects and processes:
Work Logs – start/end times of shifts, job titles, and employers
Earnings Data – hourly rates, overtime calculations, and total pay
Break Records – duration and timing of breaks taken during shifts
Settings – currency preferences and notification settings
We may collect limited technical information required for App functionality:
Device Information – device model, operating system version, and unique identifiers
Push Tokens – to deliver shift reminders and notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging
We use the collected information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the App’s core features (such as tracking shifts and calculating earnings)
Synchronize your data across devices when you are signed in
Send notifications related to your shifts, reminders, and reports
Improve the App and develop new features
Protect our users and comply with legal obligations
Local Storage: Much of your data is stored locally on your device using the Hive database for fast, offline access.
Cloud Storage: If you sign in, your data is securely synced to Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore so you don’t lose your records when switching devices.
Security: We use industry-standard security measures provided by Google Firebase to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
ShiftTrackr uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore) – for managing user accounts and data synchronization
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) – for delivering push notifications
These services have their own privacy policies, which you can review on Google’s website.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share information:
With your consent (for example, when you export a report to another app such as Email or Google Drive)
To comply with legal requirements or protect our rights
Edit / Update: You can update your profile and job details directly within the App settings.
Data Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us or using the “Clear All Data” / “Delete Account” options within the App (if available).
Opt-out: You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
ShiftTrackr is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy and revising the “Last Updated” date.
