PRIVACY POLICY - Shift Planner & Pay Tracker
Last updated: [16-10-2026]
1. Summary
Shift Planner & Pay Tracker ("the app") helps you plan shifts and estimate your pay. Your shifts, templates, notes and pay settings are stored on your own device. We do not run servers that collect your shift or pay data, and we do not sell your personal data.
This policy explains what information the app uses, how it is used, and the choices you have.
2. Who we are
The app is published by Balli. You can contact us at apps.balli@gmail.com.
3. Information stored on your device
The app stores the following on your device only: calendars, shift templates, shifts you add to the calendar, notes, titles, overtime and extra pay items, rotas and patterns, reminder settings, pay rates, currency and app settings.
We do not receive or have access to this information. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, it is deleted from your device unless you have made a backup (see below).
4. Backup to Google Drive (optional)
If you choose to use backup and restore, the app asks you to sign in with your Google account and to allow access to Google Drive. The backup file is saved to your own Google Drive and is read from there when you restore.
The backup goes directly between your device and your Google account. We do not receive a copy. You can delete the backup from your Google Drive at any time. Google's handling of your account and Drive data is described in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. Advertising
The app shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalise ads, Google and its partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information.
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before showing personalised ads, and you can change your choice later in the app settings if that option is available.
You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads). More information about how Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
6. Google Play services and reviews
The app uses Google Play services. If we ask you to review the app, Google Play shows its own review card. Your review is handled by Google Play under Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your account details.
7. Permissions the app uses
Notifications: to show shift reminders you set.
Exact alarms: so reminders arrive at the time you choose.
Run at start-up: so your reminders are restored after you restart your phone.
Internet and network state: to show ads and to use Google Drive backup.
8. Reports and files you export
When you export a report as PDF or CSV, the file is created on your device. It is shared only if you choose to share it with another app.
9. Estimates, not advice
Pay amounts in the app are estimates based on the rates and rules you enter. They are not official payslips, tax advice or financial advice, and they may differ from what your employer pays you.
10. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with the Google services described above (Google Drive if you use backup, Google AdMob for ads, and Google Play services).
11. Data retention and deletion
Data on your device stays until you delete it, uninstall the app or clear its data. Backups in your Google Drive stay until you delete them. For advertising data collected by Google, see Google's Privacy Policy and your Google account's privacy controls.
12. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Security
Your app data is stored in the app's private storage on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Your rights
Because your shift and pay data stays on your device or in your own Google Drive, you control it directly. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over data processed by Google for ads (access, deletion, objection). You can use the controls in your Google account or contact us at apps.balli@gmail.com with any question.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at [https://sites.google.com/d/1e10DDBzW7gU2MPFEOAHycquM6fvClngA/p/1wFPlKHXiRlH12D04ZZH36wDbvYSNB2pt/edit], with the date of the last update shown below.
