Welcome to ShiftLog ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by Useful Apps Suite. We value your privacy and security. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our AI-powered shift tracking and overtime calculation services.
2. Data Processing & Storage (Our Core Privacy Principle)
ShiftLog is built with a Privacy-First Architecture.
Local Storage: Your daily shift logs, overtime calculations, and generated PDF reports are stored securely on your local device.
Cloud Processing: We do not maintain a permanent database of your shifts on our servers. Your voice input is processed in real-time and returned to your device.
3. Information We Collect & Device Permissions
To provide our core functionalities, the app requires specific device permissions:
Microphone Access: Required strictly to capture your voice commands for logging shifts (e.g., "I worked 8 hours today"). We do not record background audio or save your audio files permanently.
Advertising Data (Google AdMob): To keep this app free, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob and its partners may collect and process device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and usage data to serve personalized and non-personalized ads.
Analytics & Crashlytics (Firebase): We use Google Firebase to collect anonymous crash reports and app usage statistics to improve app stability. This data is not linked to your personal identity.
4. How We Use Artificial Intelligence (AI)
We utilize advanced AI models (via OpenAI APIs processed securely through our Google Cloud Functions) to convert your spoken words into structured shift data.
Data Processing: When you speak a shift log, the transcribed text is sent securely to our AI partner (OpenAI) via encrypted API calls strictly for the purpose of structuring your work hours.
No AI Training on Your Data: We do not use your private work hours to train our AI models locally, and our API partners do not use your API data to train their public models.
5. User Rights & Data Deletion
Because your shift data is stored locally on your device, you are in complete control:
Instant Deletion: You can delete any shift entry directly within the app.
Uninstalling: Uninstalling the app from your device will automatically and permanently delete all locally stored shift logs and overtime data associated with the app.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our app is designed for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ShiftLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. AI Accuracy & Payroll/Financial Disclaimer (IMPORTANT)
ShiftLog uses Artificial Intelligence to parse your voice commands and calculate work hours, breaks, and overtime.
No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI is prone to errors or misinterpretations of spoken language. We DO NOT guarantee that the calculated regular hours, overtime hours, or exported PDF reports are 100% accurate or legally binding.
Not for Official Payroll Disputes: ShiftLog is a personal tracking tool. You must NEVER rely solely on the AI-generated reports for making critical legal, financial, or official payroll disputes with your employer without manually verifying the data.
User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your logged hours and overtime calculations before exporting or sharing the PDF report with your HR department or employer.
3. Appropriate Use
You agree to use ShiftLog strictly for your personal time-tracking and productivity purposes. You agree not to manipulate the app to generate fraudulent work reports.
4. Third-Party Services
Our app relies on third-party services, primarily Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for advertising, Firebase for backend infrastructure, and OpenAI APIs for intelligent processing. We are not responsible for downtimes, errors, or policy changes made by these third-party service providers that may temporarily affect app functionality.
5. Intellectual Property
The code, UI design, branding, and overall architecture of "ShiftLog" are the exclusive intellectual property of Useful Apps Suite. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the app's source code.
6. Limitation of Liability (Absolute Shield)
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Useful Apps Suite and its developers shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use or inability to use the app. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of wages, employment termination, business interruption, or legal disputes with employers caused by inaccuracies in the AI-calculated shift logs.
7. Governing Law These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates (or the primary jurisdiction of the Developer), without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal disputes shall be handled exclusively in the courts of the developer's jurisdiction.Â
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Privacy Policies and Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the app constitutes your acceptance of any new terms.
