Reed Handlery, PT, DPT, PhD
Reed was raised in the mountains of Southern Illinois (joking) and grew up playing soccer, baseball, football and later rugby in college. In 2012 he moved to South Carolina for physical therapy school where he developed a love for hiking and trail running. Reed decided he liked school so much that he went back for grades 20-22 and got his PhD in Exercise Science, again at the University of South Carolina. He believes movement is medicine and that everyone, regardless of age, sex or ability, has the right to burpee. Reed is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Philosophy, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and Adaptive Inclusive Trainer.
Kaci Handlery, PT, DPT, NCS
Kaci is originally from Southern Illinois and completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Indiana State University (Go Sycamores!) where she was a four-year scholarship track and field athlete. She graduated from physical therapy school in 2015 from the University of South Carolina and is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy, and an Adaptive & Inclusive Trainer. Kaci has a passion for empowering people with neurologic diagnoses such as spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s, and traumatic brain injury to exercise – we all move, we just do it a little differently. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking throughout the United States, bungee jumping, searching for the best local doughnuts and coffeeshops, and doing all of the above with her dogs and husband.
Dana Kahl, PT, DPT, NCS
Dana is originally from Oklahoma but has always wanted to be a Razorback. After high school, she initially attended the University of Arkansas, but later transferred schools so she could pursue a career in physical therapy. It may have taken her several decades, but she will be an official graduating Razorback in May of 2023 with a Doctoral Degree in Education in lifelong learning. In addition to being an advocate for lifelong learning, she strongly believes in lifelong exercise. Movement is life, and exercise is medicine that everyone should be on. Dana is an endurance junkie – the farther she can run, bike, hike or swim the better. Dana is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Doctor of Education, and an Adaptive Inclusive trainer.
