Our organization is dedicated to upholding the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) by fulfilling the noble duty of visiting the sick, elderly, and vulnerable within Houston’s Muslim community. We aim to create a healing presence through visitations anchored in spiritual care and compassion.
We are a community-led initiative and part of the River Oaks Islamic Center Khidmah network.
What We Do
What We Do
Muslim patients across the United States often report that their cultural and religious needs are not adequately met in hospitals. Our program seeks to address this gap by:
Improving rapport and offering faith-based companionship to Muslim patients during their hospital stay.
Reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness through consistent, culturally sensitive visitation.
Supporting the fulfillment of basic religious practices, such as performing prayers and facilitating halal food requests through hospital staff.
