-SCOTT MARCINKO-
Our photographer started his career in the fire service in 2015 in Radnor Township, PA, a suburban town 13 miles west of Philadelphia while attending Valley Forge Military College. Growing up the Son, Grandson and Nephew of firefighters, it was a matter of time before Scott found himself in turnout gear. After almost 5 1/2 years of serving the people of Radnor Township as a firefighter with the Radnor Fire Company, Scott decided it was time to pack up his things, and move home to Rhode Island in search of a full time career in Emergency Services. After moving home to RI, Scott along with much of the rest of the world found himself thrown into what would be the worst health pandemic known in modern history. To help pass time and feel a sense of normalcy, Scott turned to his love of photography, and found a way to continue his connection to the fire service by dedicating his free time to photographing his fellow firefighters, police officers and others who spend their work day in uniform, protecting the communities in which they serve, and Shield Photography was born.
Almost five years after starting, Shield photography was grown to become Shield Media, photographing departments and scenes across Southern New England and as far west as the Greater LA area in California along with countless non emergency events and sessions. Scott Has gotten back to work in the fire service, working in multiple towns across the state of Rhode Island as a Firefighter/EMT, while also working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher in a major city in the East Bay area of Rhode Island and continues follow his passion in photography.
THE SHIELD PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM
We could not do this all on our own, there are many hands that help out with the entire process, from navigating our photographer to incident scenes, assisting in non scene productions and editing. A special shoutout to Scott's wife Maddie, his parents and his little one Ryan (Our model for all things kids photography!), who are always helping Scott with the progression of Shield media, especially by promoting Shield every chance they get.
