Every family that comes to ShiaEdu is looking for something a little different — some parents want their child reading fluently within a few months, others are focused purely on Tajweed, and some just want a proper introduction to Shia beliefs alongside Quran recitation. That's why we don't force everyone into one rigid program. Instead, we've built a set of courses that can stand on their own or work together, depending on what your family actually needs.

Below is a look at everything we teach, taught one-on-one by our Shia Quran tutors — both male and female — so your child gets full attention in every single class.

Yassarnal Qaida

This is where almost every student starts. Yassarnal Qaida teaches the Arabic alphabet, correct pronunciation of letters, and how they connect and change shape within words. It sounds simple, but this foundation is what makes everything after it — reading, Tajweed, memorization — actually click instead of feeling like guesswork.

We take this course slowly and carefully, especially with younger children, because rushing this stage almost always causes problems later on.

Quran Reading & Memorization (Hifz)

Once a student can read confidently, we move into full Quran reading, and for those who want to go further, structured Hifz (memorization). Our teachers don't just push forward chapter by chapter — regular revision is built into every plan, so what's memorized actually stays memorized instead of fading a few weeks later.

Whether your goal is memorizing a few short surahs or working toward completing the entire Quran, we build a pace around your child specifically, not a generic class schedule.

Tajweed

Tajweed is where recitation becomes correct, not just readable. This course focuses on proper pronunciation, elongation rules, and the small details that are easy to miss in a group class but get caught immediately in a one-on-one session.

Many of our students join specifically for Tajweed correction, even if they already know how to read — because there's a real difference between reading the Quran and reciting it properly.

Namaz & Dua

This course covers the daily prayers and supplications every Shia child needs to know, explained in a way that actually makes sense to them rather than just memorized by repetition. We walk through the meaning behind each Dua, not just the Arabic wording, so children understand what they're saying and why.

Aqaid (Shia Beliefs)

Our Aqaid course introduces the foundational beliefs of Shia Islam — including Imamat, Ismah, and the role of the Fourteen Masomeen — in a way that's appropriate for each age group. Younger children get simplified, story-based explanations, while older students and teens go deeper into the reasoning behind these beliefs, rooted in Fiqh Jaffari.

Ziyarat

Many students grow up reciting Ziyarat without fully understanding its meaning. This course walks through the Ziyarat of the Ahlulbayt and the Fourteen Masomeen, explaining both the correct recitation and the meaning behind the words, so it becomes a genuine connection rather than just memorized text.

Courses for Every Age Group

None of these courses are built exclusively for children. We regularly teach:

• Young children (ages 5+) starting with Yassarnal Qaida

• Teens working on Hifz, Tajweed, or deeper Aqaid studies

• Adults learning to read the Quran for the first time, often alongside their own children

• Parents who want to brush up on Tajweed or basic Aqaid themselves

No one is ever "too old" or "too behind" to start. We've taught complete beginners in their 40s and 50s just as often as five-year-old.
