About SHH Lab

Welcome to the Stigma and HIV-related Health (SHH) Lab in the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at Arizona State University's Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. The name SHH acknowledges the silence surrounding stigmatized identities and our lab seeks to break that silence through research. Under the direction of Dr. Angel B. Algarin PhD, MPH, the lab focuses its research on the impact of stigma on factors affecting HIV care and prevention. We are also interested in the development and implementation of interventions that aim to buffer the impact of stigma to improve health outcomes.
